This was my first and last visit to this store. Several employees saw me at the gun counter and they completely ignored me. I can tell you if I was the manager and I saw employees completely ignoring customers they'd be written up or fired, there's simply no excuse or justification for it. Based on reviews, management has no problem letting money just walk out the door. It appears to be an ongoing issue. They must be doing extremely well to allow money to just walk out the door without much concern. Waited for over 45 minutes for help but finally gave up and walked out. You know what they say about first impressions and I won't be back again. It's a very poor business model to not make customer service a priority and it's very clear they do not. I'm retired LEO and I knew exactly the firearm I wanted for my new concealed weapon. Went to a locally own gun shop, was helped immediately and walked out with my new pistol in just a few min. Why the hell would I even think of returning to Sportsman, not gonna happen

Best Prices on Firearms hands down. Very competitive pricing and friendly service. Wait times at the gun counter for firearms/ammo are long due to popularity so it’s recommended you "check in" via the QR code into their online queue while you’re the way.

I was very impressed by the customer service, the gentleman that helped me out unfortunately I didn’t get his name, younger Hispanic slightly longer curly hair.!!! 5 stars for him! He talked me into buying a Byrna SD launcher. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the product , they even had a shooting range for you to practice and test out the less than lethal weapon prior to purchase…. No commitment necessary….. pretty cool set up Again he went through all of the details, specifics, and legalities….. very knowledgeable very good CS! Once I agreed to purchase he walked me up to the register and wished me and my family a happy new year! Sportsman’s management should invest into him ! Besides the Byrna …. Sportsmans offers a limitless amount of options when it comes to hunting fishing and outdoor recreation! I’m like a kid in a candy shop!

They make it very hard to recieve your guns even after all correct forms and Ids and paper work filled they make you feel like your a law breaker without even knowing you. I lost one gun worth over 800$ and the gave me a 400$ store credit. I'm currently awaiting 2 shot guns i won in a raffle at ducks unlimited since Dec 6, 2025 still waiting.

Extremely disappointed with the check-in system at this location. I checked in online and was listed as 'Next' on the monitor. Despite standing right by the counter with my wife the entire time, my name was never called, and I was repeatedly bumped back to #2 and #3 in line. When I asked for clarification, staff told me I was moved because I 'wasn't there,' which simply wasn't true. They seemed to just pick whoever was standing closest rather than following the queue. As someone driving in from East Clovis, this was a complete waste of time and gas. I won't be returning.

Went for the first time to Sportsman I usually purchase firearms elsewhere. The QR code to get in line didn’t work. I notified employee who added me. Waited in line 45 minutes all the while I was first in line. Two people were helping customers. One employee was adjusting the display and another sat at the counter drinking coffee and on computer. Terrible customer service. Manager must not care. I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

Went in to buy a rifle scope, waited about 10 mins, asked for help. The lady at the counter said she would call someone to come help me. Waited another 10 mins, watched her help 3 other people. No one came to show me the rifle scopes. Ended up just leaving.
