We had to come here from out of town because it was the only theater showing the movie we wanted to see at the time we wanted to see it. I liked it for that. The theater had not been cleaned when we walked in. I went to find someone to clean it and asked an employee in the hallway who was actually on their way to clean it right then. This was only 15 minutes before the movie and we noticed they don't wipe down the tables even if food was on it. The chairs make a noise whenever anyone turns on the motorized footrest. That's a constant sound during the previews. The pretzel was big and the staff member said "Haha yeah, we made them big this time" and I'm glad the kids had fun but this caused the bottom to be burned, the inside to be undercooked, and I had a stomach ache afterwards. We got a refund on the $9 pretzel, so that was nice and I'm glad they refunded with no hassles. I hope the kids who made it big this time learned it is the size it is for a reason! Great movie, though! We saw Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die.
Nice medium sized theaters with recliners. We enjoy this smaller company owned theater over the mega theaters or cineplexes. Has on on-site bar and arcade for extra entertainment.
We tried the Film Alley movie theater for the first time this past weekend. I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews, but everything went smoothly! I think the trick is to order your food as soon as possible. We got to the theatre 30 minutes before our movie began and ordered food right away at the counter. All of the staff was friendly. There was no line at the food counter, and the ticket host did let us know that that is usually not the case (maybe we got lucky). The man behind the food counter told us that they were almost completely out of any chicken meals, but has enough for what we wanted (again, maybe we got lucky?) He also mentioned they were short-staffed in the kitchen, so we expected it to be a while. We came for an early movie + dinner at a 4:45 pm showing, and I think that helped! We had our food served about 20 minutes into the movie starting and that worked out great. Everything was clean, chairs were comfy and the food tasted good!
1/2 price arcades on Thursday’s! My boys love arcades for mommy son time. The environment is pretty family friendly. The theater itself has a semi private bowling area and well stocked bar. I’ve never seen a movie here but the decor was fun and thematic. We will definitely try it out sometime. Update: went to a movie here. The kids combo of popcorn, fruit snacks, and soda are around $7 each. The seats are comfy. Mine was squeaky. The button on the right moves forward to move the seat. It’s not intuitive since there’s a button directly in front of it. Just FYI so you can get your relaxed position. Fun place!
Very cute, love that the seats have seat warmers. The food is very yummy, I recommend the loaded fries and the popcorn! The screen quality is amazing and the sound is great as well. Prices are pretty reasonable especially for a smaller theater.
I haven't been to this movie theater in years, and this was probably the last that I attended. There are a lot of activities for very young children and young adults. Great beer selection, shuffleboard, miniature bowling, axe throwing, darts, cornhole. The arcade is mostly for the very young, under 12 I'd say. We sat in the theater with the recliners. Very comfortable. We will be back but, still infrequently because streaming is so much less expensive and you can pause for any reasons.
It’s getting better. The outside of the building still seems to be slowly fading. The lobby has been redone. There’s a nice bar and bowling alley that hardly ever has people in it. The concession stand is usually empty during the day and we have to wait for someone to come out. Concession food costs entirely too much. The theaters themselves have comfortable reclining chairs with cooling and heating features that sometimes work. Tons of leg room. There is usually trash on the floor and seats. The restroom sinks barely work but there are new stalls and it’s been cleaned up a bit. I do appreciate that you can select your seat in advance when buying tickets. However the website is lower tech and a bit clunky. It has really good bones. It is currently the only theater in town, so it doesn’t have any competition. It just seems like with very little effort, it could be great.
