I’ve visited this bar a few times now, and the experience has been fairly consistent each visit. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the drinks are made very well, definitely one of the stronger positives here. The food is decent, though not particularly standout. One concern I’ve noticed, however, is an ongoing odor in the air that’s difficult to pinpoint, something similar to mold or dampness, which takes away from the overall atmosphere. Another issue I’ve personally experienced, and have also seen mentioned in other reviews, is that service can sometimes shift heavily toward regular patrons when they arrive. During those times, guests seated elsewhere may feel overlooked for stretches of time. Outside of those concerns, this could easily be a four- or five-star establishment. Because these issues seem to be ongoing, I’m leaving a three-star review for now, with the hope that improvements are made moving forward.

Great dive bar. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was hit or miss. I had a BLT which was excellent, lots of bacon. My son had the Nashville hot chicken which was just ok, a patty. Great atmosphere, touch tunes, decent beer selection. Fun spot.

I love this place, everything on the menu is delicious and has a homemade feel to it. The service is top notch, the prices are fair and the music is great. Good selection of draft beers as well. This place really does a great job at making you feel welcomed. Would highly recommend.

What a wonderful place. Festive. The staff were super friendly and quick to greet us. A couple locals came up to us and asked if we would like them to shift seats so we could sit! Felt welcomed from the time we walked in! Highly suggest you check this place out!

Not sure how much of this building is genuinely made out of birch. Also when they're doing free tacos it's good to keep in mind that the hard shells are softer than the soft shells. A fine bar to get sauced in.

I had a wonderful waiter/bartender to start. Then, a multi tour veteran came in (that regulars seemed familiar with and unthreatened by) and wanted to patronize the establishment. A waiter/bartender, who brought in his own riff raff (every person who also almost all disrespected the obviously very ailing veteran) and then tried to kick out the veteran repeatedly throughout the night. There was zero issue, he was "maintained" by other customers. Great music, but truly disturbing staff behavior.

I just had drinks during my visit, but I loved the atmosphere. It’s just what I want a dive bar to be: comfortable, casual, and straightforward. Prices were very reasonable, and the staff was friendly enough. The bar was pretty cool with all the money decorating the walls. Birch Lodge makes a nice escape from the usual.
