The Dignitary Restaurant & Lounge

Diverse and well thought out menu with something for everyone at a variety of price points - if the timing works check out their happy hour menu. Everything was cooked perfectly, especially the scallops and shrimp. In addition to being cooked properly every dish had a variety of flavor and texture. Cocktails were on point, but my only complaint would be a lack of a rum option. So happy to have an upscale option in the neighborhood that know what thier doing. We will be back, and often.

What an awesome addition to the Hillsboro restaurant scene! The Dignitary is a classy yet comfortable place that offers a terrific selection of tasty and affordable small plates and entrees. They also have a terrific selection of wine, cocktails, and mocktails. Monastrell red wine and the Written Word Manhattan are my favorites. The Monastrell was a delightful surprise. I’m so glad I decided to be adventurous and try it! At this point, I’ve had most of their menu. Of the small plates, I’ve greatly enjoyed the Steak Bites, Bacon Wrapped Dates, Bruschetta, Truffle Fries, Braised Beef, Ceviche, Seared Scallops, and Calamari. And there’s actually many more small plates I’d still like to try! Of the Mains, I’ve greatly enjoyed the Grilled Salmon, Double Wagyu Smash Burger, and the Chicken Piccata. All of the deserts are fabulous and made fresh, in-house, with great care. The Key Lime pie is light and refreshing. The Peanut Butter Chocolate Tort is decadent and satisfying. My favorite is the Smoked Sea Salt Creme Brûlée. It is perfect with just the right amount of delicate filling and the perfect crust. A delightful way to cap off a wonderful evening. And the service is always great! We are very fortunate to have such a great new place in Hillsboro!

So, The Dignitary is good enough if you want to get that premium-ish experience and not travel to Portland. We ordered the Seared Scallops, Chicken Piccata and Wagyu sliders for dinner. The food was delicious but the portion size was smaller than what I like. Our drinks, Lemon Drop and Moscow Mule were great, no problem there. All in all, a decent experience for Hillsboro

Delicious and exciting small bites/appetizers, for menu you can add proteins to. Good cocktail menu. Friendly staff and servers. We will definitely be back! Excited to have this location open as a nicer restaurant again, Hillsboro needs this!

Great place to have a drink, small bites, and great conversation. The Gorgonzola steak bites had a great sauce and paired well together with the steak, bacon wrapped dates were really tasty, and the crème brule was delicious.

Josh has hit it out of the park with The Dignitary! Regularly found hustling delicious cocktails from behind the bar, Josh commands his restaurant with pride. Specializing in more of a tapas style menu. I highly recommend you stop by this busy downtown orenco eatery.

The food was ok, but the atmosphere wasn't the best. It wasn't inviting, we usually stay and have dessert and another drink but after eating we decided to just go.
