Edited review. Have been back since and it is not as good anymore. Cook has changed. Would not put it as high on my smash burger list anymore 😞A great dive bar. Very hip, great vibe but honestly come for the smash burger which could be the best in KC. The fries are perfectly crunchy but soft, and not crinkle cut they are normal fries! The burgers are juicy and tasty. I love this spot and kitchen is open late! The chicken sandwich is spicy but I just ask for no hot sauce it’s manageable. Highly recommend!

Changing my review, previously had given them a bad review for mysterious closing for a long time. I’d been there many times to try to catch it open but that wasn’t the case. Finally have gone twice and the chicken burger was one of the best I’ve had! Pool table is a nice Valley table too. Not the newest but definitely up to par compared to most dive bars. Games are a dollar and the drink price is reasonable, worth visiting!

It is an interesting bar - it is very dark inside. They don't have wait staff you order your food at the bar. Their menu only offers three choices - I had the cheeseburger with fries - it was a little overcooked but tasty.

I’ve been in every lowdown drinking hole in the downtown area. I don’t drink a lot when I’m out, but I love the culture. Bar-none, Lucky Boys is the watering hole everyone in KC needs to visit. Leah, or Dan, behind the bar, are going to make it personal. The kind of real convos you can have with excellent service is above and beyond what you’ll get at the "fancy" stuff you can find in the same block. I love this place, and am going to come back with friends every chance I get.

The cook was awesome and engaging. The bar tender not so much. Insulting and a smart ass when we asked where was the other photo of Tangerine. Then tried to apologize as we were leaving. It was a awesome experience until the exit. So sad

Me and my friends had a great time here. The vibe is immaculate, it's such a fun hole in the wall bar. Drinks are cheap and the bartenders are super nice. There is also a pool table and the patrons were all really friendly about letting people queue up for the next round. Just know it's cash only, but they do have an ATM in the back.

WOW we loved this place, popped in after dinner at Voltaire (which was amazing) and, played pool, shot the shit with the chef and owner Justin and had overall the best time. These people are down to earth and fun. This bar is really the epitome of a KC dive bar, all the community, pool, and drinks you could want. We’ll be back!!
