Monkey's Bar

My husband and I go to this bar at least once or twice a month and we love it so much that we had our wedding reception there! Elle is so incredibly kind and helpful with setting up our wedding! All of the bartenders are so personable and friendly, incredibly hard to come by these days! Thank you to everyone at Monkey’s for hosting our wedding reception and for always welcoming us with open arms!

Cozy establishment with nice red brick walls, which really add some nice ambience. Drinks were great - highly recommend "Oaxacan on Sunshine!" I didn't eat, so I can't vouch for their food. Staff were attentive. Bonus: a beautiful golden retriever doggie was hanging around inside while I was there 🙂

If you’re looking for a bar that feels like home—with or without your pup—this is the place. Not only is it dog-friendly but the bartenders are absolute legends. Friendly, fast, and they actually know their stuff when it comes to cocktails. Large mocktail menu that makes you feel like you’re not missing out on a cocktail. The vibe is laid-back, inclusive, welcoming, and just the right amount of lively. Whether you’re popping in for a quick drink or staying for the night, you’re in good hands here. Highly recommend! If you’re lucky you’ll meet Mr.Monkey himself but warning he will get you with the puppy dog eyes.

Favorite bar in Knoxville. The vibe check checks and if you’re lucky enough to see Monkey while you’re there, you’re set. The bartenders are the absolute best in town, with plenty of NA options. Make conversation with the locals or grab a comfortable spot to read by yourself (or read in a group! They have book club!) - either way, it’s exactly what you’re looking for. They are always hosting a variety of events and genuinely care that you’re there to chill. Worth a stop in or becoming a regular.

Knoxville's one and only lesbian bar! It's such a chill atmosphere, I love it every time I've gone in. You can bring dogs, too!! Monkey's Bar is my favorite bar in Knox, and I reccomend it to everyone I know. Also, it's a few doors down from Mill & Mine, so if you have a show/event you're going to, you can pre-game/post-game at Monkey's Bar! (P.S. Monkey is a golden retriever)

Monkey’s is a true neighborhood bar, with an amazing cocktail program and snacks. They’ll also do fun pop up nights with pizza or other foods. Also, the owner and staff are some of the most genuine people who really love what they do. Can’t recommend it highly enough for happy hour, a night out, trivia, anything - it’ll be a great time.

Neighborhood hangout. Scared to tell everyone how great it is in the event it becomes too popular--but the team deserves that! Stopped in one night while visiting town for a job interview, started talking to regulars, the staff--met the owner and was welcomed with conversation and friendship. Moved here a month later and the rest is history. Grab a friend and head over to enjoy a relaxed space where conversation is plenty and the vibes are always supportive. If you're lucky, Monkey is there too!
