Terrific upholstery company, I loved worked with Barbara on quite a few projects, some of them quite challenging. She did 2 beautiful ottomans for us, and a few using repurposing acrylic paintings to cover furniture, the chairs are an example (set of 4). The fabric is difficult to work with, but the results were fantastic! The quality, visual and comfort of every item she did, are all exceptional.

I cannot say enough good things about Upholstered Elegance. They recently reupholstered an antique piano stool for me, and the results are absolutely stunning. The workmanship is first-rate—the leather is beautifully done, the tufting is crisp and deep, and the finished piece looks both historically appropriate and luxurious. The stool honestly looks better than I ever imagined it could. What truly sets them apart, though, is their integrity. During the process, the stool was briefly misplaced—but they were immediately upfront, communicative, and professional about it, and it was found the very same day. Their honesty and transparency spoke volumes, and that kind of character is rare and deeply appreciated. I’m including before and after photos because the transformation really speaks for itself. This piece was important to me, and they treated it with care, respect, and craftsmanship every step of the way. Barbara and her team were top notch. I inherited a lovely wicker chair that had a tone of sentimental value. Spending a lot of time in refinishing it, I needed a special cushion made. Having the shop as part of Design & Detail allows for tons of fabric options. The selection was great, and Barbara was so helpful in that process. The end result was a beautiful heirloom piece.

The details are amazing, the workmanship is perfect, and the process was so easy. I met with Barbara—who is so sweet and easy to work with—to drop off fabric and to discuss what I wanted. Then, her team picked up my two sets of chairs and two ottomans, transformed them, and returned them to my home a few weeks later. I was blown away by the final product. You can see the difference in the before and after pictures (the before pieces are in pink, green and red). I definitely plan to use Upholstered Elegance for the rest of my upholstery projects, and if you also need upholstery services, then I highly recommend you do the same.

Barbara and her team did an amazing job with our kitchen barstools! We remodeled our kitchen and needed to buy two more barstools that didn't exactly match our existing ones. So, we had Barbara reupholster all six barstools so that they matched a bit more. The work Barbara and her team did was impeccable! My wife and I contacted Barbara about bringing new life to a antique chair that belonged to my wife's grandmother. Barbara and her team picked up the chair and we met with Barbara to pick out the new fabric, and a few weeks later, they delivered a beautiful chair.
