Monty Bar

Everyone loves the Monty! If you like to party it can't be beat. Ample parking taco truck smash burger liquor store and the teragram right next door and all within in a small area. Party on😁

This bar has a slightly upscale punk/goth/hipster vibe. It doesn’t exactly feel like it’s strictly any of those things. A pleasant mashup of all. Crowd is always chill. A great spot to hit up before or after a show at the Teragram. Favorite cocktail is the "Damned Louie". Perfect amount of heat balanced with lime and a spritz of mezcal on top. I hate mezcal and this drink is lovely AF.

The best spot in the Westlake, Downtown area for drinks. Killer salloon vibe. Staff is super cool and its right next to the Teragram music Venue. Go dink," Dont Blow It!"...

Went a bit early so it wasn't very crowded upon arrival. Met with a friendly bartender and drinks were average prices but not weak at all :). Bar had an awesome dj playing Spanish covers of some buddy holly era oldies and every seat at the bar filled up by 10pm! They have a back patio that I wouldn't have known to look for but this bar was full of friendly people early to mid thirties and i would definitely go back! Gotta mention the disco ball too!🪩🪩 LOVED THAT!

I didn’t want to leave this review because I’ve had good times here but after losing my card there couple weeks ago it’s been an inconvenience and hassle to contact Monty’s after hours. I lost my card at Monty’s a few weeks ago, I’ve been contacting them thru the contact info listed on google, and it’s inaccurate. Their phone is disconnected and they have not replied to my email or dms. Why even have that number there if it doesn’t even work??? Or have the email there if they can’t even respond?? I even tried going there personally to see if my card is there and they were closed when it shows that it’s open?? I stumbled across their "sound system" guy and he couldn’t even assist me to check if my card was there. He was useless and unkind, telling me he was busy to ask them. I get that he was busy but it doesn’t take a long time to check. THUS, if you loose your card there, good luck contacting them. Wished they could have a better way to respond to inquiries.

Service for drinks was quick, and the prices were reasonable. The bar is spacious, but the women’s restroom stalls are too small and not well-stocked with supplies. Parking is available on the street. It's conveniently located in the heart of Downtown LA.

I was attending a work party for lots of people in the company and this venue was totally appropriate for that. It's not entirely my cup of tea as I prefer a Jazzy joint with good food and a few friends to share with. This venue had a cool edgy vibe, excellent Security at the door, a hip Bar crew who were very busy. Nice outside zone out the back, clean restrooms and comfortable booth seating in the mian space. By the time I left, the place was loud with fun, music and lots of people having a good time.
