Classic neighborhood dive. The prices scratch my head. Cash only and the amount they charge can be great if you are a gregarious n liked patron or a little questionable if not. Only reason I gave 4 stars. Burgers are great.

Go if you’re white and old, otherwise, prepare to be "poked fun of"ie have people be super rude to you and make racist comments. Left before ordering because the bartender somehow managed to try to pick a fight with me in the 2 minutes I was seated. Didn’t taste the food so I didn’t rate that

Stumbled upon this place visiting from San Diego, CA. This is a very unsuspecting cool lil dive bar. Bill greeted us after I yelled through the window (we were trying to enter through the side door 😂) the drinks were strong and cold. Jody made us a fabulous cheeseburger that hit the spot as I was starving. If you're in New Haven, CT I highly suggest giving this place a visit. Their story and history is super interesting! From prohibition until today! Ask Bill or Jody to give you the scoop. Will definitely make this place a regular stop everytime I'm visiting. Thank you Bill and Jody for the best time!

cool place, no one cared about my dog (in fact, ladies were swooning over her) and the bartender was (unfortunately) super nice to me despite the fact I’m european 😔😔 heard people talk about uncle ted, exciting burger was generous, tasty, no seed oils, and prices were fair good vibe
