Just walking by, I glanced at the menu posted outside and decided to go in. Sat around the bar. The bartender walked over as soon as I sat down with a menu. I had the Butter Burger with fries, a beer and a water. They weren't very busy so the food came out within about 8 mins. That butter burger was really good. Glad I noticed this place as I was walking by.
If I could go any lower on stars I would. 4 burgers, 4 fries, 2 apps, all to go, $79 tab- $20 tip, and mind you, we waited there for it, while a friend had a couple beers. I don’t mind waiting, I’m in the industry… AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER- got our order- EVERYTHING wrong except for fries. Didn’t even get one of the apps. The burgers are burnt (wonder why.. prolly on the grill for that hour and a half) I understand if it was busy. But it wasn’t. People who came in after were getting food before ours. And the only thing that I have nice to say, is your new bartender should be the only thing that place keeps.
While exploring the French quarter as a gay couple we spotted the flag outside the crossing and decided to stop in and we're so glad we did. What started as a spontaneous visit turned into discovering one of our favorite new bars in New orleans. The atmosphere was welcoming from the moment we walked in. The staff was on point friendly attentive and generally great to chat with. We also ended up meeting some really awesome people which added to the whole experience. Now let's talk about the bar food because wow. The menu absolutely surprised us. The mini corn dogs were incredible and the lemon chicken wings were honestly some of the best wings we've ever had in our lives. Perfectly seasoned crispy and unforgettable. The crossings has become a must visit spot for us whenever we're in the area. Great vibes great people and amazing food. Highly recommended.
If you're looking for a fun, local bar with an immersive theme, then definitely try The Crossing! The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is familiar and the theme is so on point with so much visual appeal. Oh and the food is incredible!!! Shout-out to Rachel, the new kitchen manager for truly elevating the bar food experience. Best Bacon Blue burger Ive ever had!
Good food, ok drinks, service was friendly and down to earth. I'd go back. The LBGT sandwich was actually really good!!! 🤤
Quite a nice little place. While it wasn't busy at lunchtime on a Thursday, it gives off great chill vibes and can only imagine how busy it would be on weekend nights. Daily burger specials are a real value for the area, I've definitely paid more for less. Booths, tables, and bar seating. No smoking inside and 21+ to enjoy their offerings. Traditional restrooms as well as uni-sex. Looking forward to popping in on some other weekend to see the change in atmosphere and energy.
I decided to come here to support a local LGBTQ business instead of my corporate hotel for food and drinks. I walked in and sat at the bar for 10-15 minutes and the bar was wasn’t busy there were 2 bartenders hovering at the front of the bar and at one point the both came near me but I was never greeted nor asked if I wanted anything, it was like I was invisible. A couple of guys walked in and they were offered drinks almost immediately. A 3rd bartender came on and was on my side of the bar and same…..invisible. I gave it a couple more minutes and then I decided to get up at walk out. I ended up Spending my money at the hotel. I’ll try it again next time I’m in town. Maybe it was a bad night for them but if it happens again, I’ll never go back.
