The Up & Up

The drinks here were phenomenal. The service was also top tier and worth the price. They mix flavors I never would’ve thought of and you can tell that they take pride in finding the drink that appeals to your taste. Very intimate vibe, great for a date night.

Came here for a post-dinner drink on a Sunday evening with my gf and one of her friends. We just kind of stumbled upon it, but it turned out to be a great discovery. Very nice vibes inside, basically like a speakeasy with mid-century modern decor. The drinks were all outstanding. I got the "as much as a duck" per the recommendation of our waitress and it was delicious. Noticed on the menu that it specifically said that this bar is not a pick-up spot - so for my gentlemen out there who are looking to meet some lovely ladies, this is not the place for you! (But once you do find one, bring her here on a date 🙂)

Nice craft cocktail selection with a lot of variety. Light snacks were disappointing. Served in a to go container. They do have "house rules" where everyone in the party has to order drinks.

Underground bar with a cool atmosphere. Bartenders were super nice and drinks were good. No food but they did have seasoned popcorn! Got the Tajin seasoned popcorn and it definitely could’ve used more but it was still good. I’d try their truffle rosemary seasoning next time.

Insanely good midori sour was mid at best. Ambience seemed cool. Just popped in for one drink. May come back and give it a second try

Amazing drinks! And they were having their anniversary menu when we went. I did reserve first and I think I wouldn’t have easily gotten a table if I hadn’t. The service was quick and the drinks outstanding! My friend and I really enjoyed them. We also ordered the cheese charcuterie. Quite small for the price but it works. The vibe is cozy and I think it’ll be a great date night place. This place has a bit of a history. Used to be a cafe, then turned into a cocktail bar. Bob Dylan and other musicians played here.

The Up & Up is easily my favorite cocktail bar in NYC. Their drinks are consistently amazing and the staff are very knowledgeable. I can’t recommend this bar enough.
