Baxter's Sports Lounge

Every Sunday during the football season everyone that knows me knows where to find me. I love the staff. Anytime I show up with whoever we are greeted with the highest level of hospitality. It has gotten to the point that I relax on Saturdays just to fully enjoy Sundays at Baxter's a tradition that has been in place for the last 3 years.

Had a show at the Chrysler Hall and we wanted to eat somewhere within walking distance. Baxter's sports bar is about a block away. The menu is your typical sports bar items but we'll done. The wife had a Buffalo chicken wrap that she very much enjoyed and I ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwhich, that sadly enough, isn't in the photo as I was really hungry. However, the lack of any remaining sandwhich goes to how good the food was. Waffle fries are amazing. My only complaint is that they add 18% "surcharge" to any food or drink order. There's signs posted everywhere, but then the waitress hands you the electronic pad to sign for the bill, there's also 3 slections for a tip...If you had 18% that's your tip!

The staff at the door was friendly and clearly communicated instructions and entry questions. The bartenders, however, were quick in serving. My waitress, Claire, made sure my shrimp arrived promptly and checked on me regularly to see if I needed anything throughout the night. I will definitely return and recommend this place to others. The party and atmosphere were fantastic!

I've been coming to Baxter's for quite a few years because it's a very chill place to eat, enjoy music, and have a good time. The drink and food prices are very reasonable, there are many TVs so you can watch sports, and they have pool tables! It usually has a very nice and easy going atmosphere unless there's an event or something going on. I'd recommend coming here if you just want to chill and have a good social time! My favorite item to order is the fried fish which is really good! Not too big on the tartar sauce though. I've had the nachos as well and that was really good! Also, this place has so many amazing staff members who make the experience more enjoyable! The bartender with the very cool mustache is always so nice and the waitress Anisa is the sweetest person!

Just eat the food at Scope Arena if Baxter's is your plan. We had a pretty terrible experience for our family of four, and I typically have a lot of understanding for restaurant workers. Our server was very slow, forgot several times what we has ordered, disappeared for long periods of time, didn't bring out forks, napkins, or ketchup until we sat there with half of our food for well over 5 minutes and we finally flagged her down to ask, didn't bring out two people's food until the other two were almost done, never refilled our drinks, and then when it came time to pay, she just showed us a total and wasn't happy when I asked to see the itemized bill. No wonder this place automatically charges 18% gratuity on all food and beverage. The servers don't need/want to earn anything. The food was just okay -- fries were decent, chicken wings and chicken on the salad was dry, the rest felt mass produced. We won't be going back.

We ate here prior to seeing a show at Chrysler Hall. The server was very friendly. The happy hour specials were a great value. The sliders, chicken bites and salad we had were excellent. We were surprised how good it was for a sports bar. We'll be back for sure.

Menu was a little underwhelming. Selection was still that of a bar but the seating arrangements give the vibe of a nice sit down. Was shocked to find out after all these years that they have an upstairs that is used for private events. I may be utilizing that space in the near future. Plenty of space tho on the main floor. Didn’t feel cramped or tight at all
