Maxdon's

Haven't been in years and decided to try it out. Everything has changed since 5 years ago and it felt more like a dive bar than anything. Couldn't get food because the bartender didn't know how to cook or what to cook since she was by herself. One thing I did notice was when she grabbed a ball of ice from the back with her hand. Ewww... Gross. The other guy did grab it with disposable gloves. She was rushing an forgot about our tab. I felt she was rushed, exhausted, and seemed irritated.

Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something…five star rating because the drinks we ordered were so delicious…a twist on Bloody Mary’s. Andy, the bartender was very personable and added hefty slices of bacon to my three Bloody Mary’s, some lime, lemon and olives. She highered my standards on this drink. Definitely recommend to anyone who happens to visit Oceanside. Environment was welcoming, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Make sure to get here early to play pool!

California updated the design of their drivers license on October. I renewed my ID this month and they thought it was fake. I gave them evidence in the form of articles in California change the design and they didn’t believe me.

Great spot for meet-ups, it has many pool tables, shuffle board, a touchtunes jukebox, and great prices on drinks.

First time at this place. Local Pub I really enjoyed this place. Great drinks. They have nice pool tables and very clean restrooms.

Maxdons is a spot my girlfriend and I would like to go to shoot pool prior to the covid restrictions. We we're pleasantly surprised to find out they are now open for business and apparently have been for awhile now. We went in the late afternoon and was able to choose which table we wanted to play at which was great. What we noticed right away was the level of customer service. The bartender guy was quick and very polite. The jukebox was at the perfect volume which was nice. The prices for drinks and food was good. My girlfriend really likes her Micheladas done a certain way and both of the bartenders nailed it. Even though we use our own pool cue's, Maxdons has a good selection of house pool cue's. The entire place seemed very clean and well taken care of. But what really stands out once again is the customer service. The female bartender that took over for the guy earlier did an amazing job. She was very friendly and went above and beyond in making our drinks and serving us enough so that we decided to tip her 30% of the bill. Maxdons is a place you can go to straight from work or even dress up a little if you like. With a nice atmosphere and friendly staff we would like to give Maxdons 4 stars. . .

Clean pool tables and equipment. Good space for shooters. A little bit too loud.
