The Bar Olathe

We had drove past this place a thousand time, finally made it, tried the food last night, food was good, big menu, service was good, we ll be back to try other items, we glad we found a great late night hangouts.

07.02.2022 We had dinner here. We have eaten before at this place and were disappointed. This might have skewed our opinion this time. My wife had the cobb salad. she said it was fairly good, but many other places do a better one. There were some good topping. eggs, bacon, cheese, tomatoes. I had a bacon cheddar burger. I ordered it "medium". I was expecting maybe tiny bit of pink, but mostly grey. you can see in one of my pictures it was very raw looking. I typically order my steaks medium rare. I think this burger was that or rawer. the center wasn't very warm at all. in general the burger was very good, but little raw for my taste. we also had some free (birthday club) funnel fries. They tasted like funnel cake. they sprinkled powered sugar on top and gave us warm liquid carmel for us to dip them in. They were pretty good. Overall, we weren't that happy with anything but the desert.

Tyce is the best part of going here after miserable shifts at the warehouse. Always cracking wise one and making you feel like you belong here. He’s never messed up my order and always is super timely in getting me my drinks. He makes a killer Shirley Temple. Don’t miss out on quality service and always go to this location. It’s the best.

Been here twice, both were great experiences. Staff is always nice and attentive. The food always hits the spot! Plenty of TV's. They have a good variety of different flavor Mules. Loaded fries hit the spot for an appetizer. Food came out pretty quick too.

This place has gone down hill fast. Menus were filthy. The kids meals are not good AT ALL. Do not get the pizza. We asked for something else. Then our waitress (very passively) asked if the burger was fine when we received it… They did comp us. We heard another table send their food back, as well. The waitress’ just stood around talking and loudly complaining. We love their happy hour but has gone down hill just within past few months. Bummer. Olathe needs more good places.

Had a great Smoked Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. The burger was a juicy medium, great flavor. Fries are cut and cooked fresh, what a great treat! No shortage on tvs, i counted 20 from where I was sitting. Carter the waiter was very attentive. The GM, Matt was super friendly, too. We'll be back!

This was the worst experience we have had at a restaurant. If I could give the service zero stars I would. We saw our waitress twice when she took our order and bought us our check. She never once checked on us or refilled our drinks. If you didn't order alcohol she didn't care about you. She walked by us several times but didn't say anything to us. Food was barely hot and I didn't get everything I ordered. We ordered an appetizer that came out with our meal. We eat at The Bar West in Shawnee all the time will make sure that is the one we go to if we ever go back to the restaurant. I definitely wouldn't recommend the one in Olathe to anyone.
