Ive been here before when it was in George Town and really enjoyed going back in the day. It wasn’t the same & it was a disappointment. The chicken itself comes out with way too much breading, so you end up working through a thick, heavy crust before you ever get to the meat. There’s good chicken under there, but the ratio is off enough that the flavor gets lost. The sides didn’t quite balance things out either. The mac n cheese was a little on the dry side, missing that creamy comfort you hope for, and the coleslaw didn’t bring much flavor, feeling more like a filler than a fresh, tangy contrast to the fried chicken. That said, everything seems fresh, the portions are generous, and with a lighter hand on the breading and a little more attention to the sides, this place could really shine. Service was great!
Walking in here is like a portal to the 70s. Very divey feel. Fried chicken was pretty great, about the batter was quite salty. We tried the hottest sauce and it was no joke. The Nashville and Seattle hit are nice middle of the pack spice. Would recommend for food
Tried the tenders and fries. It was ready on estimated time and everything was really good. Both were hot and crispy when I picked them up. I like spicy food tried Seattle hot since it was the medium ish level, to gauge it. It was not very spicy at first but does leave a little burn on the lips after the first tender. Will have to try Nashville hot next time! The only thing I wish was better is their description with the online ordering. This was just "tenders" which great but like at least list how many? There also wasn't any pictures with the menu items to help that way. Otherwise, it's a cute restaurant with a nice vibe. There is a small parking lot to park in and the staff up front was nice.
Fried chicken is top notch. We got hush puppies & Mac and Cheese to go with. I got baby hot spice and my son got Nashville hot spice. This place is a must stop for anyone who loves fried chicken.
I ordered online Takeout and got Nashville wings and two tenders in which the wings wasn’t cooked all the way and I just had to throw the wings away I’m pissed because the ratings deceived me. This place is definitely not a 5 star restaurant and I will never go back. The Mac wasn’t cheesy enough very mid that’s the only thing that I finished. There’s way better places to eat.
Great vibes in this place. Shockingly empty for a Friday afternoon, but by the time we left it was starting to fill up. Food is quick and the servers are fabulous! Great crunchy chicken with just the right amount of spice.
I very much enjoyed the chicken here. It was actually spicy, which I appreciated, and the flavor of the coating was really wonderful. I had the Nashville dark meat plate with mac and cheese, and my partner had the Insane wing plate with fries. Both were excellent, with juicy chicken, and were served atop a slice of white bread that was absolutely soaked with spicy lard. I kind of wish the plates came with like 3-4 unfried pickle chips, but I'm really just splitting hairs. This place is my new favorite chicken place, and I will be back here.
