Object Refinery/David does impeccable work. David has great taste and an exacting eye for detail (visit his showroom and you’ll see why). We sourced two Knoll chairs and worked with David to refinish and reupholster. No detail was too small and David nailed the execution — his work exceeded our expectations! This is on top of David being very easy to work with and super responsive. We look forward to doing more projects with him!

I first heard about Object Refinery from a neighbor. We had been searching for an Otto Zapf Executive Chair by Knoll—hard to find and a true design classic. David had several available, all in original condition with a beautiful, rich patina. Since we're based in California and couldn't visit the showroom in person, David went above and beyond. He provided detailed photos of each chair and took the time to answer all our questions thoroughly. Once we made our choice, the purchase process was smooth and straightforward. Delivery was on time and completely hassle-free. The chair is absolutely stunning, and we couldn’t be happier to own such a unique piece of design history from Knoll.

David helped me out with obtaining the original knoll fabric, and then he re-upholstered the seat portion of my new Saarinen executive side chair so it matched my existing other 4 chairs. The work done was indistinguishable from the existing original chairs. Knoll would no longer make a chair with the same fabric combination as my existing chairs. I got a chance to see his showroom and there was a ton of neat things to see. I referred a neighbor to Object Refinery who has a Womb chair that needs reupholstering.

We had an awesome experience buying a mid-century coffee table from Object Refinery and David. David was incredibly responsive and it was so easy to buy the item. When I asked about shipping David indicated he would be in our area in the coming weeks and he delivered it to our door!! Just before delivery, he noticed a very small imperfection and offered us a discount. I hope to have another opportunity to purchase from Object Refinery!

I found Object Refinery while searching for a source to refinish a set of Eames chairs I inherited . After a few minutes upon meeting David I felt extremely comfortable turning over these authentic pieces to him. He meticulously restored them to their original finish , treating them as if they where his own. A complete delight to work with David at Object Refinery! He responds quickly and was willing to hold our beautiful settee until we could take delivery - months after purchase. We LOVE our settee. What an amazing experience. I purchased a Model 37 sofa by Jens Risom for Knoll that David at Object Refinery had expertly restored in line with the original design specs. The sofa is exquisite! Dealing with David was an absolute pleasure, he is quick to respond, has an excellent eye for MCM, pleasant in demeanor and truly understands what excellent client service is.
