Customer Reviews
Windsor has a rating of 3.8 out of 5 based on over 90 reviews on Google
Horrible staff especially the manager who's so rude with customers. All my friends said they no longer go there. They hope this place shuts down.
This store is usually my go-to for special occasions, so naturally I came here last week for an event. Unfortunately, this time was disappointing. I decided to go after I got off work, so it was later in the day at around 6:30, but from my understanding the mall closes at 8:00 on Friday’s so I figured I had enough time. The first thing I heard from an employee (likely the manager) was that the fitting room would close in five minutes. I understand needing time to clean and close, I worked in retail before, but announcing this as soon as I walked in felt unnecessary and rude. Why put me in a situation with only five minutes to find a dress and to practically run to the fitting room? However, the fitting room employee was kind and let me take my time, but the manager kept pressuring her not to let anyone back in once they left. I felt rushed and couldn't find anything that fit, so I gave up. To make matters worse, as I was browsing before leaving, that same manager loudly and aggressively started cleaning around me, which was a very clear (and petty) signal she wanted me to leave. Like damn, just because you’re presumably miserable with your job doesn’t mean you have to give horrible customer service. This experience was frustrating, and I don't plan on returning anytime soon. Just be aware of some rude and disrespectful staff members.
I was trying to look for a dress so I can exchange an item. The Hispanic girl was nice and took me to the fitting room. Then a Caucasian worker who was present when the other girl took me to the fitting room, yelled hello. I finally stuck my head out of the fitting room and she had the nastiest look . So I gave her the same look back. She’s like oh how many items you have ? I said 3. I was the only Hispanic in the fitting room and she only asked me. I should have told her something but didn’t. At that moment I said I’m not buying anything here. I knew based of other reviews that they were going to be difficult to do my refund. The girl at the register first tried to say they can’t exchange items for another store? She then asked her male manager who said it was fine. If they would have gave me an issue. I would have went off.
Made a purchase on 8/14 for my daughter back to school outfits and Rosa and staff were great. I wanted fashionable teenage clothing which i really don't know much about and the help i received was amazing! Windsor is my new go to for school shopping and school events great selection. Ps the music at the store is a great selection .
This is the only place I shop at. Two employees always help me pick out my outfits. Rosa and Ray they are just absolutely amazing. They help me out and always are working so hard. Always keeping the store neat and organised. I feel like I have my own stylist when I go there! Just amazing! thank you for the best service 👍🏼 they deserve a nice raise for all the hard work they put in 🥺🥰
I’m not one to write reviews but after my terrible experience in the Staten Island at Windsor I decided to write one.I personally love Windsor but dread going in there because they not only have the worst unless workers but they are always so nasty!!! I went there this afternoon, there were only 2 workers that were so miserable and nasty! One was on a zoom call for school which is unprofessional to began with I don’t know how that’s even allowed while your working but alright. She kept walking away every-time I needed help because I was interrupting her class. The other worker who seemed like a manager was just a nasty person, who shouldn’t work in retail if she has no customer service skills. I asked her if I could switch a size for me from the mannequin for me because they didn’t have it on the racks on the floor. She tells me clothes on the mannequin aren’t for sale which I’ve never heard before then 10 minutes later hands me the pants after I told her that I’ve had previous employees take clothes off mannequins. After I try the pants on with other items I needed another size in something else that was only on another mannequin. When I asked her nicely along with expressing that I was in a rush to go to work. She proceeds to tell me that I’m going to have to wait and come back that she’s busy mind you she was doing nothing but standing there. She was just being lazy and useless. I wouldn’t recommend going into the store unless you want to get annoyed and disrespected. Go on the website save yourself the hassle.
If anyone's wondering why the reviews of this store is so low, I think I've found the answer... We were trying to find a prom dress for our friend and after we went to counter to checkout the dress. There were only two workers at the store and one seemed like the manager. The other worker was pretty nice but the "manager" had the nastiest attitude. After we found the dress we wanted to buy, they were struggling to find the style of the dress at the counter because they had lost the tag on it. This is their problem but I still waited patiently while they try to determine the style and they found another dress with a tag on to compare. I was also looking at it trying to help them out and then the "manager" gave me the dirtiest look and said "Can't you wait? Give us some time so we can figure it out!" She was talking to a white male(we're Asian btw) prior to us and she was so nice to him and spoke so soft. We went over to ask her about a shoe right after she was talking to that guy and she was like "go ask the other lady." She was so patient to him and gave us such an attitude? I wonder why? Can't be because we're Asian Firstly, why even bother to put it on display when you can't sell that dress? What? To waste our time? Also, How messed up can the management of the store be when you put a unsellable dress on display? The other worker worked very patiently and were helping all around the store while the "manager" only stayed at the counter and did minimal job. The girl found us the right sizes and even helped us hang the dresses back. The other girl should be the manager, not her. She acted like I'm forcing her to do this job Well she chose this job and she's paid to do it so she better learn to have some self control! If you don't have self control, why should you be able to run a store? I've seen other reviews about this problem and I can promise you, you will regret stepping into that store! It will sabotage your whole day's mood! My best advice for this specific store is to fire that manager! ^ Update We called the customer was super nice and they called Rosa which turned out to be the manager. Rosa said to us before that she would ask the price during the conference meeting at 3:30 because she couldn't call them and could only email. We didn't believe her because she didn't even ask us for our contacts so they can notify us. It was the other girl that asked us for it. After we called at like 3:00, the customer service called her and immediately, she called back to the number we left her(still with an attitude) and told us we can go pick the dress up. After we arrived, Rosa criticized us for calling customer service and getting her in trouble and told us we can still call back if we want(to file her a complaint). She said that it was messed up that we called because she was willing to go up and beyond to help us show the dress at the conference meeting. She had already just got the price for the dress for us. It was only 3 and the meeting was at 3:30 so how did she get the price? She did exactly what she said she couldn't do: called. So why did she tell us she couldn't call? Because she didn't want to. Her coworker was still very patient. Big thumbs up for her coworker and the customer service We did exactly what she asked for and filed a complaint. Leaving the one star for this store just because of her.
