Taste of Tops

This is like beer Disneyland! If you love craft beer then this is the place for you. Looks unassuming from the outside but, once you get in, its a whole different vibe. Have about a dozen or so items on tap (including a sour from Drekker which blew my mind and got us in the door in the first place) but the real draw is the beer cooler that has SO MANY different beers from around the country. Wish I was able to take beer home with me but was only in town for a daym

What a unique find. We had an extra day to kill. Took a chance on Taste of Tops. Matt was the 'hoc bibam' that day. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Planned to start the day with a pint and try other places. We ended staying for hours.

Affiliated with the Tops next door. Great way to find rare beer that is only available by keg. Nice place, albeit a bit on the small side, and can get a bit busy, so plan for that. Probably can't accommodate a large party during busy times. However the selection is phenomenal, and you will find things not available on tap elsewhere. Great atmosphere as well, which makes it a welcoming place. Bit pricey, so if you get the rare stuff it can add up pretty quickly. Selection of bottles is very hard to beat, and tap always has something interesting on. They do tap takeovers now and then, which is nice as well. If it was cheaper I might frequent it more often, but even so a nice and easy way to taste a rare offering not available elsewhere, or in bottles. [Edit] Always a place to find things not available elsewhere. Or taste something new before committing to a four/six/twelve pack next door. If you missed it at Tops, then you might still be able to taste it here. Also added couple photos, but as lighting is dim, so are the photos.

A genuine Tempe institution. 30 taps of rotating beers, so there's always something new. $3 mystery cans for the adventurous, or low cost 4oz pours to let you try anything.

Nice little hangout to go have a beer with a friend. Great bartenders, attached to liquor store that has an awesome beer selection.

Best neighborhood taproom. Great selection of beers and wine, with great bartenders.

Chris was the best. He knows all his beers and is fun to talk with. The liquor store was also awesome. The guys were helpful and knowledgeable about most of the liquor choices they had. They had some many options of Scotch, liquour, bourbon, you name it!
