She is the most caring, welcoming, and incredible person, and it shows in everything she does and in the atmosphere she creates. Joe Palooka’s is one of the best bars in Thornton and one of the top nightlife spots near Denver. On weekends it turns into a full-on club with bottle service, great music, and an awesome crowd. The bartenders are super friendly (and very easy on the eyes), and the drink prices are way better than downtown. They’ve got massive 100-inch TVs hanging from the ceiling plus big screens all around — perfect for watching football, basketball, baseball, and hockey games. You can even bring your own food or order from Grubhub or DoorDash, and there’s a Wingstop right across the street, which is clutch after a few drinks. If you’re looking for bars near Thornton or a fun nightlife spot around Denver, Joe Palooka’s is the place to be.

Palookas is hands down one of the best places because of the people. Jen is the most caring and welcoming manager, and the entire staff and bartenders work with so much heart and happiness. You can truly feel how much they love their customers. Amazing vibes, amazing people, and an incredible place every time.

If you like nightlife, Thursday through Saturday are the nights to come! Local Denver sports are always on the TVs. Ownership is fantastic and they are the reason I continue to come back time and time again.

The bartender was rude from the start. Fights broke out and the entire bar got maced. However, it probably stopped a shooting because the fights looked like some gang activity. The entire bar had to clear out through one door while choking and unable to see. This place was horrible.

The bouncers tonight were completely unable to have any common sense nor understanding that my ID is from California . It has Name Age birthday Expiration date and because his response was "haven't seen that before !" He refused my entrance and didn't even try to explain why in fact he refused me entrance it had a QR code he didn't even try to attempt to see if it would work . I had to explain to my party to continue on without me as embarrassing as it was .
