Tandy Leather Denver - 122

I've been buying from this Tandy store for about 5 years. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful The products they sell vary in quality as with any leather store. They range from a beginner to advanced. As with anything, if you don't know ask. **** As for Andrew D I was there on his first visit. He stated he was a beginner and knew nothing. He was looking at the project kits and both the staff and I guided him towards a beginner project. He then went to the more advanced projects. I offered my assistance should he want/ need it and gave him my phone number. I left the store and never heard a word from him again. The next week I heard about the issues he had. I think his ego got in his way and he bit of more than he could chew. It's unfortunate that he didn't take advantage of the assistance that was offered. You can only lead a horse to water!

I haven’t shopped at Tandy since the 90’s…boy was I missing out! I recently started making bags and came in search of bag stiffener and leather paint/sealer and found everything I was looking for- and for a much better price than online. Melanie helped me out and was very knowledgeable and nice. The store is well stocked and very clean. I will be back again.

I was very impressed with the scope of supplies and leathers that were here. I found great value in coming in person to see the products, and speak with the staff. The people here are extremely friendly and I appreciate the experiance beyond finding the products I need. While the scope of my current project is small, I can see myself coming back here as I expand on my experiance and project size. Tandy Leather Denver is well worth the visit!

Update from my original review: don't be fooled like we were and almost leave because you are used to seeing Tandy in their old location! We just so happened to drive around the corner and see that they had MOVED just Northwest of where they used to be! I seriously hope Tandy sees this and maybe puts a sign out where they used to be with an arrow showing they are just around the corner because we can't be the only ones! Their new location is both more refined and even more interesting. I absolutely loved the colors of leather they had in stock. There aren't stores like this out there anymore! If we don't support our local craft stores we won't have any of this magic left in the physical world. This location is just inspiring and filled with everything you could want for leathercrafting. You will want to get into leatherwork just walking into this place! Previous review: Incredible place!! Addicting and the staff is over the top helpful and patient. Seems intimidating as a beginner because when you walk in everything is super clean and organized and it looks like you need to be a pro to shop here BUT don’t be afraid... this place is for all levels of skill.

This place is a Makers paradise. Go in just for the smell and you're sure to walk out with a few extra things you forgot you needed. Can't say enough good things about the place and the staff
