Banter is a lovely little bar with a number of different interior spaces and an exterior patio. The bartenders and the specialty drinks this past December were absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend!

My brother and I visited Banter on one of my recent trips to Wilmington. It was early with only a few other patrons. The bartender was attentive and patient. The custom made beverage specials and specialties were interesting and delightful. What’s more, they’re beautifully presented. The historical plaque on the building helps patrons understand its significance. Quirky, small conversation groupings dot the different rooms. There is an outdoor courtyard which perhaps accommodates smokers, however we didn’t investigate that prospect. We did note that it might be difficult to navigate the courtyard’s uneven surface if one was physically unstable due physical or chemical influences. 😉 The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was that the drink prices may be off-putting to those on a budget. All in all, a nice vibe for an early evening meet-up.

This cocktail bar was awesome! The bartenders were very knowledgeable and able to answer questions, and suggested great cocktail options. The decor and vibe is fantastic!

Love this place. Spend a few hours with my partner relaxing while having a drink. We fell in love with the atmosphere. The bartender, Trent, was awesome and very attentive! We will be back when we are in town again!

Didn’t get to visit and have a drink on my short trip but will definitely be back to try. Such amazing people, the staff and owners found my license that fell out of my wallet on the street in front of the bar and were so kind. They found me on Facebook to tell me they had it and when I said I was leaving they mailed it to me. Even went the extra mile and express shipped it as I had a flight coming up the next week. Can’t thank them enough for all of their help and how kind they were 🥹

What a neat little bar!! The inside decor caught our eye as we were walking by, so we felt compelled to stop in and check it out. Just wow! Perfect place to take pictures + the bartender was very friendly and shared with us the hours and some other cool information. We checked out everywhere in the back through to the bathrooms + outdoor area and they really went all out with this unique place. While we weren't able to have a drink, as we were on our way out of town for the day, we will make sure to stop back when we next get a chance!
