West End Opera House has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on over 305 reviews on Google
A great after work bar. Low key, cozy. Never too crowded. It's not jumping with energy, just a solid daily bar filled with familiar friendly faces, devoid of clowns, all with a very chill outdoor area around back. A lil hallway that's great for meeting new people or taking a lil smoke break. You can drive right by it and miss the place, but I don't it comfortable, affordable, and a good place where everyone knows you're name.
I am a casual driver that works 2nd shift and I have the luxury of being blinded by customers holding traffic to cross the street. It's dangerous enough because of a blind corner before the approaching light. Ether people arm facing oncoming traffic with what it feels to be highbeams. Or crossing on foot in front of GREEN LIGHTS!!! I will be happy if people would think of the coming drivers safety.
Wonderful pool & dart dive! Highest recommendation!
This bar used to be so cool. It felt very old-school. I loved the previous aesthetic. I think it was a big appeal for me, as well as my friends. Also, not to forget, there was always free pool, which you never get anymore. We went there recently and they updated the whole bar, apparently because of new ownership. It definitely took away that special aesthetic. I think a-lot of the new updates could have gone without. Now it just feels like a random bar, and the crowd there was never that great to begin with. Don’t think we’ll be coming back.
How can I start? First it's absolutely breathtaking inside and out. History, charm, warmth permeate this well kept establishment. I was blown away by the decor through out this bar. I felt like I was back in a time of high class . But, the warmth and charm of another country. Maybe England or, Ireland. Just really beautiful decor inside and out. The bartenders, people, Vibe are excellent!
I love this bar. Great pours! Prices have gone up a bit but still a good deal. Bartenders are friendly and a good crowd that is welcoming and accepting to everyone (well most people are.. there's one annoying short guy with dark hair that sits towards the end of the bar where the zebra is and gets drunk and mouthy sometimes but he doesn't represent the rest of the people) I do wish they'd take Amex
I originally rated this place a 5, and it was the only bar I went to (frequent at least twice a week typically) because of the diverse patrons. Under new ownership, it seems they are actively trying to eliminate black patrons. They have the touch-tunes app jukebox, I just tried to play some of my normal music like artists such as snoop, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kid Cudi, etc. Basically all rap music, regardless of the content. For anyone wondering, I'm white. I love my bartenders here (Mel and Nicole are the only 2 I know) but due to ownership changes, I will not be coming back. They apparently have an ideal crowd, and I'm not for the racist shenanigans.
