Club Privata

I was visiting from Los Angeles and wanted to experience the lifestyle scene in Portland. The night before, I met an employee at TVR who recommended I check out Privata, and it absolutely did not disappoint. I’ve been to many clubs across the U.S. and Europe, and I can honestly say the staff here were some of the kindest, most welcoming, and genuinely inclusive people I’ve encountered. As a first-time visitor and a single woman, I felt completely comfortable and at ease the entire time. The club was exceptionally clean and sanitary — truly impressive. It’s the only club I’ve ever seen that fully sanitizes the beds after sheets are removed and replaces them after every use, which speaks volumes about their standards. Thank you for such a great experience. I will definitely be visiting again and highly recommend Privata to anyone curious or interested in checking it out.

We have always enjoyed our time here. The staff/bar staff and atmosphere is always amazing. The owners address any issues that come up right away. We recommend anyone that hasn't been to come.

I wore a nice leather like black shirt with jeans during leather theme night. They wouldn’t allow me in because my shirt wasn’t collared. Yet there were several others without collared shirts and one in a tank top. They also tried to make me buy a dress shirt. It was suppose to be couples and single women. We witnessed several males there. If you’re going to enforce a dress code please do it for all. Instruction on how men should dress also isn’t clear when there is a theme night.

Fantastic atmosphere and very accommodating to newcomers! Domino gave us a wicked tour to kick things off and everyone who works there was awesome! Didn't feel pressured at all to jump into the "deep end" right off the bat - was able to take everything in, have a few drinks and enjoyed the vibes. Everything can happen at your own/your partners pace and everyone is super respectful.

Last night was my first time at Club Privata. I really was impressed surprised and turned on for real. My Fiancé and I took in the atmosphere and visual stimulation. We will be back soon.

Saturday Febuary 28th my wife and I attended little black dress night. This was our first time at a lifestyle club. I did a lot of research on clubs before our visit. Club Privata seemed to be the best fit for us. When doing my research there were a few things that people on different forums complained about repeatedly. None of them turned out to be true on our visit. People complained about how cold it is inside. We arrived right after they opened. It was definitely not cold. My wife is always cold I was worried about her being in her tiny dress freezing she was comfortable and definatlly not cold. Next common complaint was single men. We were not approached or bothered once. Believe me my wife is someone they would be interested in. The next was groups of regulars trying to recruit you to there group. There were a lot of friendly people but no one made us feel like they were trying to trick us into joining them. The other thing was music being to pound and not a good mix. The mix was great and was a great volume. Loud enough but definatlly not to loud. I am a big time over thinker I was obsessed that all these common things would be true. We took ear plugs, my wife took stockings and other teams on her bag in case she was cold. We didn’t need any of that stuff. We went because we have friends that have told us about clubs like this. In one of the forums I read a quote from a lady that said think of it like a dance club that you can wear whatever you want and feel comfortable and do other things if you decide you want to. The club was vey nice, very clean, well organized and the staff were all top notch. I had to write this to let people know none of the things I worried about were an issue.

Chic, clean vibe, service 50/50: Having been curious about Privata for years, my partner suggested we try "Newbies Night." He’d been but it was my first time. I found the door staff and the tour incredibly welcoming, they made me (30F) feel comfortable and at ease. The space was clean and fully stocked with everything one might need to have fun. Drinks were delicious and the bar staff were also friendly/attentive -though they asked if we were "a new date," which felt a bit odd. The visit would have been perfect except, one of the security staff decided to make "an example," of me while we were finishing our drinks. I checked the time on my phone (unaware of the "no phone" rule) and he marched across the floor to berate me. When I tried to explain he just continued to shout until other patrons began staring. I must have apologized 4 times (after putting my phone away) but he just kept reiterating the rules, hovering at our table until my partner prompted me to go upstairs. I totally understand why that rule exists (it certainly adds to safety and privacy), and while I’m sure it was listed somewhere in the membership waiver —I don’t recall any of the multiple staff we encountered explicitly telling us. Also, being that it was "newbies might," the level of aggression that large man used to repeatedly scold a 5ft woman felt unfair and inappropriate. I was terribly embarrassed, and if it weren’t for my partner defusing the situation, his little "power-trip" probably would have been enough to make me leave before we got to enjoy more of the fun opportunities the club had to offer. It’s a sexy place with (mostly) great staff -not sure we’ll be back though.
