Second Story Bar and Lounge at 214

Great vibe. Good cocktails. Balcony music is not the right vibe for the setting. Inside music is . Overall great place for an evening/night out. October 24th. I had to extend my review to complain about the lady that serve the hookah. I received a text saying there would be free hookah 8-11. I get the at 8:49. The server tells me there isn’t anymore and she’s upset because no one is tipping. I have received this type of service from her in the past. Upset because she expect a tip. I feel she should change her attitude and blessings will come. Do not treat complete strangers as if they did something to you when they are only there to enjoy themselves. I enjoy spending my money here, but customer service has got to get better. More bar tenders are needed. The ones available gets cranky and moody wants the crowd comes in. It’s uncomfortable.

Great place! The inside portion is dimly lit, spacious yet intimate. Beautiful sofas, and Todd is a great bartender! Tip him well No, he doesn’t know I’m writing this review. This is genuine ☺️ Oh, I don’t have any stars for the food because I didn’t eat here. Not sure if they have food.

Wierd vibe. No menus on display and apathetic service. 20% automatic gratuity charged on weekends and we werent notified. Fridge had an open lid lime juice box (?) labeled "old"... why? with an opened pizza box next to it. Elevator was VERY sketchy to go up. They didnt have enough whiskey for a full pour but still charged the full price. Main attraction was the rooftop but they had a cheap picnic table. Lots of potential, but would avoid.

Okay first off, it was a little sketchy but to our surprise it had a great vibe! We did go while it was a soft opening and so the specialty drink menu was limited (you can order other drinks that’s not on menu). Very spacious area, inside and out seating, from the name of the bar/lounge it is on the 2nd floor. Outside area was very chill and decorated nicely. They do not offer any kind of food and I believe that would be a delight to include down the line. Now on to the drinks …Cocktail #4 was delicious 8/10, and cocktail #6 was terrible. Tasted like men Cologne, didn’t have any hint of mango, very strong wood taste, very spicy lol and overall was a 2/10. We also order two Henny/Coke with a double and it was very good. Cell Service inside was terrible, so paying with Apple Pay was getting frustrating because phones wasn’t working properly. They gave us 2 free shots for the inconvenience and the staff/host was truly a pleasure and very understanding. For 4 drinks we spent $86.

Had to cut our visit short because my man can't handle his licca! But Very nice spot. Hooka and drinks great vibes and music. The balcony is very nicely decorated and the staff was awesome. Did not have food so I cant leave a review. The bartender was definitely my type of vibe I enjoy someone who was happy to be in the service industry.. salute... Will be back 9/10

Jason and Second Story are the best combo for cocktails you'll find in the state. If this bar ever shut down, I'd move out of Baton Rouge. The drinks are next level works of art and the atmosphere is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing night of cocktails. Also, a great place to bring a customer to talk business over a cocktail. Very upscale feel. 10 out of 10.

My bartenders Bri & Dj were AWESOME!! They kept our drinks goings never had to tell them what I wanted they already knew! The music was on point & it wasn’t hot indoors. I will definitely be returning next week boo.
