The Love, Sex & Gender Center is an important and much-needed resource in Boulder. At a time when conversations about relationships, identity, sexuality, and mental health are often oversimplified or handled without much care, LSG stands out for its depth, thoughtfulness, and clinical rigor. The center does serious work with complex human issues, and it does so without rushing people, labeling them, or reducing their experiences. There is a clear commitment to understanding the whole person and holding difficult topics with professionalism and respect. That kind of care is not easy to find. Kate DeCoste, one of the co-owners and co-directors, is an outstanding clinician and leader. She combines strong clinical judgment with warmth and steadiness, and it’s evident that the center has been built with intention. The clinicians are well supported, and the work reflects that. If you’re looking for therapy, consultation, or a professional environment that approaches relationships and mental health with seriousness, integrity, and humanity, LSG is doing meaningful work. Boulder is fortunate to have a center like this.
