Spark Social

Meeting up with a friend visiting from San Francisco, we decided on coffee at Spark Social House since it's close to where he was staying. Just north of U Street NW, it's in a central area with two inclusive rooms and a back patio. More than a popular bar, it's a cafe during the day with plenty of seats, outlets, and Wi-Fi. Going in the morning, we each got a latte. They use locally roasted Lost Sock, which I appreciate. Their coffee is very good. Service and vibes at Spark Social House were top notch.

I heard about the queer space Spark Social House offering Non Alcoholic Beverages and Cocktails we decided to stop by and check it out with my girlfriend and a couple of friends. It was a very cute Bar with a nice heated patio nicely decorated.. very cozy. Was pretty busy downstairs, we toured the building and on the upstairs bar we ordered our drinks and let me say!!! They were otherworldly, Slay Bells with Aperol and Cranberry was my pick for the night. Our friend ordered New Fashion and was skeptic about it. She thoroughly enjoyed her Boozless Cocktail. Our Bartender Elijah was very nice and patient guiding us through the menu and explaining to us the concept of the doubled menu despite being busy with a bunch of people around the bar! Final thoughts definitely a regular spot for the weekend even during the day to enjoy their coffee specialties! Great job Spark Team

My favorite coffeeshop in DC, and it’s not close! Fantastic coffee (from lost sock!). Wonderfully crafted seasonal NA drinks and just a perfect place to hang out for hours getting work done. I spend an unreasonable amount of time here getting caffeinated And a special shout out to Teegan for always making a perfect flat white

If you ever find yourself at this bar and don’t get a drink from Elijah, you’re genuinely missing out. Elijah is hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever experienced. From the moment you walk up, Elijah makes you feel seen, welcomed, and completely at ease. He has that rare ability to read the room perfectly: whether you want playful banter, a comforting chat, or just an expertly made cocktail served fast, he nails it every single time. His energy is infectious in the best way, fun, confident, warm, and effortlessly cool. The drinks? Immaculate. Balanced, strong without being sloppy, and always consistent. You can tell Elijah actually cares about what he’s serving and who he’s serving it to. Even when the bar is slammed and the crowd is packed, he never loses his composure or kindness. He somehow manages to keep things moving while still making every person feel like a priority.

Went here for a holiday party, and it's become my new favorite place! I love that they have so many non-alcoholic options, with mocktails (every cocktail has a non-alcoholic version) plus juice, coffee, and tea. I got the Purple Reign non-alcoholic version and it was the best mocktail I've ever had! Spark Social also supports Free DC, so that's another big reason I'll be supporting them going forward.

Was lucky to be there on opening day! The staff is extremely kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable—with cute details all over the space! And don’t even get me started on the gorgeous patio! There are plenty of outlets all over, so it is ideal to go work and focus, while also running into friends and enjoying a delicious drink. Cannot wait to be back!

Spark is my FAVORITE third space/lounge/bar. I come by and work from the cafe, I’ve had deep convos upstairs in the listening lounge and partied my tail off for New Years Eve or Sapphic Saturdays. This is definitely a community spot; a variety of programming, fun and unique beverages and an attentive staff to top it all off. Nick the owner is so bubbly, Salina the manager is so dope (always throwing a FIT) and the cast of knowledgable bartenders make every visit somehow 3 hours long haha. I’ll be back for sure!
