Where have you been all my life? What a Thai spa! So friendly and seamless to make appts. Two locations in the city and I went to the South Loop one. Between the hot stone, stretching and oil massage I left feeling completely relaxed with winter aches gone. Mention Pooja before booking, for $15off your next 90 minute massage and you’ll thank me! @chicagopescetarian
Best massage in the city and I've tried a lot. I work at a desk and computer during the week, and am a heavy weightlifter. Nida is an excellent therapist, especially on the very hard pressure deep tissue that I prefer. Sky is another skilled therapist. Honestly the owner does a great job of selecting therapists - nearly everyone I've gotten over the years has been quite good. You're paying for expertise, not decor - it's a cozy space but it's no frills - this is just how I like it. Given the expertise I find the prices fair and good value. Keep up the fine work
I am loyal Thai Lotus customer, our neighborhood gem. They always have last minute appointments or within a day or 2 and it is extremely make appointments over text!! Thai massage is not for the faint-hearted:) They do a great job here. My favorite therapist is Sky, but all therapists are good with slight variation in technique and they are all very pleasant. The place is clean and the massage rooms are large and soothing. All sessions have little perks like hot stones, stretches. They will work everything out of you and you will sleep like a baby:)
I was here two weeks or so ago. Unfortunately my experience wasn’t great. First the room was very hot! Even on a very cold day it felt pretty warm especially a few minutes into my massage onwards. Secondly, she forgot to add my hot stones when I had specifically asked for it. I waited patiently and then gave up on the idea since the room was so hot anyway. Thirdly my masseuse used very high pressure and I had to tell her to tone it down in many areas which she did, however they were too many so I felt uncomfortable. At the end of it I didn’t feel very relaxed. When there were about ten minutes left I asked the masseuse if she would do any stretching and she then did a few stretches. I’ve had a traditional Thai massage before when I lived in the east, and it is definitely not like the one I received here. Post massage they don’t offer you any tea or other beverages, or any advice at all which is atypical for a decent spa. I won’t be going back here.
I had an appointment this morning (9am) with Nida and it was AMAZING. Best massage of my life. I’ve been here twice and won’t go anywhere else. It’s a very physical and involved massage, so it’s a unique experience, but that’s part of what makes it so good. I usually don’t leave reviews, but she absolutely deserves the five stars.
I have to start off by saying this place is amazing. They provide a very authentic Thai massage, like the ones in Thailand. I have had multiple areas of pain (shoulder, back, hip, foot, among other areas) and the masseuses were all able to help provide pain relief. It is not a typical massage, lots of stretching involved which is honestly the key to staying injury free, atleast for me. Multiple masseuses are great here, and you can always request for one specifically based on their schedule. I have been coming here for years, and recently have been going to Nida, who provides very strong massage. She was able to get rid of my back and hip pain, and she showed me some stretches I can do on my own, which I really appreciate. For some people including my wife, it can be too strong of pressure, so you must ask for the correct amount of pressure. Overall amazing location, clean spaces, and welcoming masseuses that do amazing work!
My wife and I have been getting massages for two decades all over the world. Today we booked a couples massage as we traditionally do on our anniversary. We are visiting Chicago from Seattle so we went by the Google star rating and chose Thai Lotus. (We were headed to Versailles Spa and Bar for the novelty of a massage with a cocktail, but noticed Thai Lotus on Google maps and saw the higher ratings.) We had Bella and Bia as our therapists and they are excellent. We had their signature blend of deep tissue and traditional Thai massage. It was extremely therapeutic and I felt 20 years younger for the rest of the day. So did my wife. My wife has been suffering from a frozen shoulder for months and started the massage with limited mobility with that arm and left the massage with nearly full mobility. Fantastic. (She has done months of physical therapy for this). We are back in Chicago next week and we booked our return visit. I wish we could find a place like this in Seattle!
