The Federal Bar

I’ve been going to The Federal for a couple of years now and I’ve never been disappointed. This last time I ordered the Tater-Totchos and was blown away by the size of the portion. It’s perfect for sharing and really tasty. Their veggie burger is great, as is their buffalo cauliflower (a favorite of mine). My husband is addicted to their chicken wings, because the buffalo sauce is infused with fennel.

This was my first time visiting and I really enjoyed the vibe. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. And on this evening when we visited there was a live comedy show. I dined in with my fiancee. We shared the buffalo style cauliflower as a starter, while I had their short rib, and my fiancee had the lamb chops. The dishes were alright. I really liked my short rib, however the lamb chops were a bit smaller than my fiancee was expecting and she felt they lacked some seasoning. Overall the service was nice, our plates were served promptly and hot and we had a pleasant evening.

Got the OMH Habanero burger, Deviled eggs along with a Oaxacan Jam drink. So the drink, Oaxacan Jam is deceiving... despite the soft pink color, there's nothing mellow about it. It's very bold, smokey, and the tequila kicks. Definitely not for everyone. The OMH burger was bomb & huge, even when I smushed it as much as possible, I struggled to bite in. I got it medium rare & It was delicious, but it wasn't spicy at all. The burger and fries both were seasoned well & had yummy flavor. The Deviled eggs were great too, lots of flavor & cooked well. There's seating inside and parking in the back lot (valet) or street parking. The waitress was nice and prices are fair for the portions. I believe they have a ance club upstairs too so you can hang out at the bar or go up.

Came here for dinner and was very pleased. The tater-totchos are to die for and the grilled cheese was cheesy as could be. My waitress was also very sweet and friendly! This is definitely a great place to go for a fun and delicious night out.

went here on a sat night, wasn't to packed. the vibe was really nice and the staff was so lovely. The portions sizes are great! they close at 12 but they are not rude about it. They let us know that they closed at 12 and if we still wanted to hang out they have an upstairs bat that is open till 2. I thought that was really nice of them to mention. you should definitely go here I cant see anything wrong with it! thank you guys for the lovely service

This place is truly a jewel kept secret! I all ways knew the federal bar was great for solid cheep drinks! But, a couple of nights ago my wife and I enjoyed what I thought was to be one of the best diners I have had in a long time for the price! Honestly I was not expecting anything more then your classic bar grub and was pleasantly surprised with my favorite comfort food dishes gone gourmet! This will now forever be my new favorite place to go eat when I get the munchies and need a great beer to wash it all down! In short this is a must try! You will love it! Plus our server liana was absolutely the best !

The bartender was awesome and friendly. Thank you for the soda and the smiles. I added some pics of stuff near there as well. Hope to have a reason to go back. Nice little place off the beaten path.
