The Langham, Chicago

My wife and I stayed at The Langham, Chicago, for a few nights with family around the time of our wedding. We both grew up in the Chicago suburbs and know the city well, but this was our first stay at the Langham, and we loved it.||The first thing that stood out was how spacious the room felt. I believe we stayed in a Premier Room, and by city standards, it was huge. The bed was grand and extremely comfortable, with just the right firmness. One small detail that stuck with us was the distance between the foot of the bed and the wall-mounted TV. It made the room feel open and calm rather than tight or cluttered.||The decorating felt elegant without being stiff or formal. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the espresso machine in the room. The bathroom was another highlight. The frosted glass window gave privacy while still letting light through, and the rain shower had intense water pressure and felt genuinely luxurious.||The location was a big plus. It was easy to get to the Loop, Grant Park, Michigan Avenue, and neighborhoods like River North and Fulton Market. We had dinner nearby both nights, which made everything simple and stress-free.||The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant also stood out, even if the specific details blur together now. The lobby is beautiful, and several family members who stayed there at the same time also commented on how much they enjoyed the hotel.||Pricing felt reasonable for a hotel of this quality. For the room size, comfort, service, and location, it felt like excellent value and money well spent.||We would absolutely stay here again and would gladly seek out other Langham properties in the future.

I stayed at The Langham, Chicago a few weeks ago, and the service was truly top notch from start to finish. After checking out around 1:00 PM, I didn’t realize until I was already at the airport that I had lost a very meaningful diamond carrot earring. I called the hotel around 6:00 PM, spoke with a team member, and then had to board my flight. When I landed, I had a voicemail asking me to call back. I was absolutely blown away to learn that three members of their security team went up to our room to search for the earring—and incredibly, they found it. It truly felt like finding a needle in a haystack. What impressed me even more was that they certified mailed it back to me that same night, at no charge. I have never experienced that level of care, urgency, and professionalism from a hotel staff. This went far beyond exceptional service. The entire stay was outstanding, and this experience truly reinforced why The Langham sets the standard for hospitality. I’m incredibly grateful and can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

This was a special stay that we shared with our son, wife and most importantly our 3-year-old granddaughter. Starting with Indra and Marcus at the front desk, and Alex at concierge, our experience with the splendors that the Langham had to offer began before we even entered our room! The ultra-professional team was accommodating at every turn. They made us feel like special guests and we knew that we were in good hands for the entire stay. Kudos to the concierge team who could recommend just the right place to eat for our circumstances. We also absolutely loved the Club Level floor! The rooms were an amazing tribute we have come to expect at such a fine hotel. On top of that, the availability of the club and again, the amazing staff of David, Jason, Nichole and the rest made us feel more at home then we feel at home! The Kids Suite definitely set you apart from the rest and needless to say was hit with our granddaughter. We can't wait to come back and do it all again. Langham! The bathroom was another highlight: the frosted-glass window offered privacy while maintaining a sense of connection, and the rain shower had excellent water pressure and felt indulgent. The location is fantastic, convenient for work in the Loop, time in Grant Park, shopping on Michigan Avenue, or dining in River North or Fulton Market. During our trip, we ate nearby both nights, which made getting around easy and stress-free. The staff was warm and helpful throughout our stay, and breakfast at the hotel restaurant was memorable, even if the details are a bit hazy now. The lobby is beautiful, and several family members who stayed with us also commented on how much they enjoyed the hotel. At the time, pricing felt mid-range for a luxury hotel in Chicago, offering excellent value. It was summer, likely a less expensive time to visit, but even so, considering the room size, comfort, service, and location, it seemed like money well spent year-round. My wife and I stayed at The Langham for a couples trip to celebrate her birthday, and it was everything we hoped for. The location is perfect—super walkable to great shopping and plenty of restaurants, which made it easy to explore without needing a car. The staff was genuinely friendly and made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Even though this was a romantic trip, we could tell the hotel is family-friendly too. We’re already talking about coming back with our whole family next time. Highly recommend!

We spent a long weekend celebrating my friend’s birthday, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Everything felt thoughtful, elevated, and effortless.
