⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely incredible experience on the **Queen Mary Haunted Tour** in Long Beach, California! The ship itself is beautifully preserved and extremely well kept, you can really tell how much care goes into maintaining its history and atmosphere. Every space felt authentic, clean, and full of character, which made the stories even more immersive. Christina was an outstanding tour guide. She was incredibly informative, clearly passionate about the ship’s history, and kept the energy upbeat and engaging the entire time. She struck the perfect balance between spooky and educational, and her storytelling made the tour feel alive. You could tell she genuinely enjoys what she does, and that enthusiasm was contagious. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Christina as your guide!

I stayed for one night to celebrate my sister's birthday and we had a great time. The ship carries a lot of history (which I personally enjoyed), but it could also be the perfect spot for a romantic date or one-off excursion. The food and drinks are delicious but a little pricey (the online menus don't include prices) and you shouldn't expect the quality of a modern hotel (the ship was built before WWII after all). But if you take the experience for what is, you can have a great time and a lot of fun.

Our two night stay at the Queen Mary was a thoroughly enjoyable hotel and historical experience. Excellent service, delicious food and an informative historical experience await the visitor. From the moment we set foot on the ship, it was clear it would be a memorable stay. The front desk staff was warm, welcoming and informative. We were warned about the thin walls and possible noise issues as well as the guests’ inability to control the room temperature. We were offered ear plugs and extra blankets. The room itself was clean, comfortable and of historical interest with warm varnished wood furnishings and historical bathroom fixtures. In my room, some improvements were needed such as repair to the bathroom door frame which prevented the door from staying closed. The restaurants were quiet and had a welcoming ambiance. The service was attentive and efficient. The food choice was broad, well prepared with the freshest ingredients and absolutely delicious! The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced. The ship itself was a step back in time with beautiful woodwork, historical photos and cutaway ship models. The ships tours offered provide a glimpse into a bygone era of historical luxury cruising. They provide access to areas closed to the public which contain art deco art and architecture gems, as well as the ship’s mechanical and engineering areas. The tour guides (especially Paul) are knowledgeable and provide unique insights into the ship’s history, functioning and future. A visit to the Queen Mary is both informative and enjoyable. I recommend it highly.

The Queen Mary was an unforgettable experience. This was the coolest place I have ever stayed. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, kind and very helpful. We ate in the Chowder House, got to have a Queen Mary Martini. Great food and drinks to start our vacation. I would stay again if I get back out to this area. A wonderful venue if you are cruising out of LongBeach.

Staying on The Queen Mary was amazing! Our rooms were beautifully decorated and so different from a standard hotel. The Paranormal Tour we went on was a lot of fun and we had even more fun exploring the ship the next morning. Dinner at Chelsea's Chowder House was so tasty. And, you can't beat the location if you are heading out on a cruise! Long Beach Terminal was just a short walk across the parking lot!

The Queen Mary is the obvious place to stay when you are going to board or decompress for a night after a Canrival cruise. Prices were reasonable for the rooms. They kind of got you when it comes to food, but good and with plenty of options. Service was top notch even though it was fully booked. Promenade served me an awesome turkey avocado salad, a great reuben (the sidewinder fries are a must try), and the flour less chocolate cake was a perfect follow up. Rooms are a little dated. I was in B517, which was spacious, out of the way with a good tub. Walls are thin. Bring ear plugs. If you don't like it cold, dress warm, bring blankets. Zero complaints. Stress free way to be ready to hop on a cruise ship. Worth it. Many times, I show up the day of, but this is better, if you can swing it.

My wife and I booked room B340 for 3 nights on the Queen Mary as her birthday celebration, knowing and anticipating that Walter might be haunting the room. First the overall review: per other comments, the ship is 90+ years old and it shows in multiple locations, however, the passenger areas are well maintained, the teak flooring was in incredible shape, the brass polished, and the carpets clean. The engine room is an absolutely amazing feat of early 20th century engineering and the restaurants well managed with friendly hosts and server staff. We did eat at all of the ship's restaurants but found ourselves time and again preferring the Promenade Cafe, which had a good selection of delicious sandwiches and appetizers as well as cocktails. Our room, B340 is touted as the most haunted, with paranormal activities well documented online and in the guest journal in the room. We experienced no less than 4 events we were unable to explain (knocking on wall, bed being pulled, door handle trying to open, and clicks coming from the bathroom. (Awesomesauce!) The staff were very friendly and attentive, responding to our questions and conversing about the history of the ship. We highly recommend visiting and staying at the Queen Mary!
