The Woodshed Orlando

I'd been coming here for 6 months, and the shed is now my favorite place to be. I don't know what it was like before the new staff took over, but compared to what I've heard about the old staff, it seems to be drastically improved. I've never felt more welcome and accepted for who I am here then I have anywhere else. It's an incredibly safe place to be, too. They have a 20-page consent policy as well, which you can ask for at the desk. 🙂

Last night was my first time going back since new management took over. I stopped going many years ago due to old management. I’m impressed with the changes and the welcoming atmosphere. Keep it up!

Great entertainment from burlesque dancers on occasion.

While I don’t it has so much to do with staff as it does cultural ideas of a place like this. I’ve been there a few times over 3 years. While some people are very nice. I still did not feel very welcomed, most of the time made to feel like an outsider at events. And I feel the staff is the only reason I didn’t rate my experience a 1star. But overall unfair stereotypes, with a lack of engagement made for a very poor experience.

The staff here is AMAZING, seriously all of them. Even though they were short staffed that day they did all they could to make everyone feel great and welcomed. We were there for the first time and even though we are used to a more protocol oriented type of dungeons, we loved the down to earth energy. We were there as our anniversary tour night and we actually stay longer than expected. Only one suggestion, check the dressing code so you don't go as overdressed as we went

We went a year ago and it was a great experience so naturally we were excited to go back this year. We forgot we could not use rope on the couches, once reminded by the DM we put that away. (No biggie) After this though, I felt we were watched more so than anyone else. It made me uncomfortable. However, we weren’t watched by the DM that mentioned it. It was someone else entirely. I’m not sure what their role was (owner/dm.) we went on to play some and we were watched majority of the time by the same person. When going to do wax we were going to use towels (not for play) but to cover my breast because I was not comfortable being exposed. The guy came over and stated wax would ruin his towels. We explained we were going to use it to cover me (we had done this last year with no issue because we were not using it for play.) They went on to say "wax gets everywhere it’ll be in your bra anyways." Very dismissive of my comfort level when this is supposed to be an accepting place. As we were leaving I went to place my phone in my dress pocket (we did not have phones out the entire time, I was simply moving it) was told "Babe put that away" once again same man. For it to be a consent friendly place, I did not get that vibe. I had a random person calling me "pet names" and watching our every move. It was extremely uncomfortable and we ended up leaving. Before it’s said that anyone can watch, this is true. We felt watched as if we were doing something wrong and were being watched in an accusatory way not out of curiosity. We will not go back to this location as I did feel uncomfortable. While this may not matter to the owners, I’m hoping it’ll be informative to others looking to go. The rope class was 10/10. The instructors were great and helpful.
