I had the best experience and my server Sterling, was the coolest, fastest, and most attentive server you could imagine. I have never been served faster anywhere in my life. You look up and next thing it's there. Food came out within 8 mins. I had the Famous Pot Roast and it wasn't your typical bar food. It was like Grandma made it. It was straight up home made. I also had a Wheat beer and two hottie-tatys (that Sterling made personally off the menu for me)! I highly recommend! Highly affordable and high quality. Come and ask for Sterling when in Columbus, Ohio. Better yet call and make sure he's working first. Best dive bar in America

Used to frequent 10 years ago when I lived down the street. Decided to stop by and the interior is practically unchanged in terns of decor. Dimly lit, brick wall, gold framed vintage photographs. Small pub type feel. Menu in person didnt match the one online - i forgot to take a photo but for instance didnt have meatloaf. I got fried green beans and salmon hoagie. Green beans were great and as I remember. Hoagie was alright - cooked well, bread was a little tired. Used to have better shoestring fries these were bigger regular fries. 10 draft beers, 7 from ohio, 4 from columbus. All in I would say the quality of food has declined, but the prices are still good, service still great and friendly, and I would still generally recommend. For the establishment I would recommend a full site dusting, reducing menu size, and feature more columbus stuff.

Stopped here for dinner while in town for my friend's graduation. Old pub atmosphere. Basic bar food but tasty. Sweet potato fries were delicious Large booths to eat and drink with friends.

Kitschy little bar with a good selection of beers, great menu, and wonderful service. My husband said this is the best stroganoff he's ever had at a restaurant, and their veggie sandwich was also very well done. Thw location is great, too- very close to a couple of the theatres. We'll definitely be back next time we visit Columbus!

Do not let the outside of this place fool you! Inside is a beautiful bar with much more restaurant seating than it appears from outside! We were seated quickly and our server was prompt and made great suggestions, guiding us through the menu. There was a large crowd that cleared out quickly since most were there to grab dinner before a show. The cocktail menu is very affordable and dangerously delicious! Can't turn down fried cheese curds, aka Bucky Bites, were great. The sandwiches are amazing! The corned beef reuban was huge and had to get a to-go box...that was the perfect midnight snack.

First time here. Cocktails was good! Just water down fast! And I had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn, very tasty, hot and fresh when it came out! And I got thr ceaser salad, the lettuce was warm not cold but thr salad was okay but the old pictures on they wall was pretty cool, I honestly may come back! Good meal I had!

Was looking for a place for an early dinner, and found Tip Top. Walked in and was greeted by the friendly bartender, Donald. Got a glass of red wine and a beef stroganoff. The beef stroganoff was probably one of the best beef stroganoffs I ever had (tasted like premium cooked and hand shredded pot roast). Also a great recommendation from Donald to spice it up with horseradish. I had a great time and greatly enjoyed the food! Also, I sat around long enough at the bar to overhear several conversations, and there is a great sense of community around the regulars. So you know it's a great place if there are many people coming back over and over again. Update: One year later, Donald was still working when I walked in and ordered a cheese steak sandwich. Still a great place.
