Touche is a local gay bar that harkens back to a time before hookup apps and cellphones changed how men meet and socialize. Most of the staff is friendly. The drink prices are reasonable. All are welcome, although the majority of the customers are LGBTQ men looking to relax and have a good time after work or on the weekends. David, the manager, keeps everything running as it has for almost half a century. The calendar is sprinkled with events throughout the week from movies to leather club nights to play parties to contests to fundraisers to .... Touche has one of the rare 4 am licenses (5 am on Sunday morning) so it is a great place to end the night after other bars or events have closed. There is nothing modern or trendy or pretentious about Touche, which is exactly what makes it a great place to hang out with old friends or meet new ones. Touche is just itself, so you can be yourself there as well.

An LGBTQ neighborhood dive bar with a friendly crowd and just the right amount of fetish. Not for everyone but you won't know if it's for you until you try it ‍♂️

The Don White one star review is way off. This place does not cater to any clique whatsoever, it’s completely inclusive. Look around on the weekend, it’s a standard Chicago even split of all walks. Interesting that he says if you’re black you could be treated differently considering the black bartender technically treated this white man differently by not grabbing him a bottle of beer and instead serving a bunch of mixed bullchit. Completely inaccurate to refer to this joint as clique, when really some people are just clicking. Standing room only at 1am, don’t let Jackhammer next door overshadow this place, Jackhammer is kinda overrated while Touché is underrated. No cover either.

Despite everything, i love it here. Funny thing is, Touche (IMO) is more racially diverse and integrated of its racial diversity than jackhammer ever could be (also the owner doesn’t ban people for reporting racism in THEIR OWN ESTABLISHMENT MIKE SULLIVAN)! The vibe is down-to-earth and human, not about race or class for the most part. The people, bartenders, and sense of community are what makes Touche so special for me. I met the most amazing people here who, til this day, are still in my life and every time I come here, i feel at home and that I belong. I love it here ♥️

They charge $5.75 for a generic bottle of water, but offer you a $2.00 discount so it’s only $3.75 and then cry when they only get a 25¢ tip. Like, you didn’t even open the bottle.

They are not accepting to any one that isn’t apart of a certain Clique, The bartender kinda had a nasty attitude and charged 10 dollars for one bottle of Heineken, I was gonna use my card but the machine wasn’t accepting my card the bar tender told me it was a 10 drink minimum I used the atm and got the 10 dollars but he still had an attitude .:. They treat you real differently if you are black. I will never come here again

Doesn’t care about people of color. They never rescheduled the town hall and they have the nerve to host events like the one down below. This is tone deaf and I just can’t believe David is still running the place. Edit 2025 I LOVE this place again. It was my favorite before the whole puppet situation…the only reason I came back was because of CJ in the back bar. CJ makes me feel so welcomed as a minority. I only come here for CJ. I come here every weekend because of CJ. The music is SO much better with a CJ in the back. I will definitely keep coming here if CJ is here.
