Launching and shuttling your kayak is so cheap and easy! The staff are very friendly as well. I wish there was more variety in their gift shop though, I wanted more than a sticker for sure. The springs 2.8 mile downstream ride on my kayak was so peaceful! I got the last 9am slot on a Saturday there was barely anyone there and I was alone for most of the way. I saw a snake, so many birds and fish and the most beautiful water I’ve ever seen. It was refreshing to dip my hands in and coast while watching everything. Definitely will come back again!
A truly unique experience. Just $13 gets you access to the natural springs and water park, a scenic boat ride on the river, and the one-of-a-kind underwater mermaid show. Get there early on busy days as they close the park once it is full. You can also bring your own cooler, chairs, etc, but be sure to look up the restrictions to avoid getting pulled aside when checking in. Free parking!
Features can be limited in the off season. The boat tour rides, which is one of the main things to do, was not offered the day I visited. There was only 1 mermaid show the entire day. Glad I caught that as it is the park's defining and differentiating offering. I rented a kayak so I still got to see the river, but at triple the cost of admission.
This is a jewel! I visited when my wife attended a board meeting there. We took a kayak trip down the river and truly enjoyed the tranquility and beautiful scenery. We floated past a resting manatee in crystal clear water. I also had a chance to see a mermaid show and I realized how talented the mermaids must be to perform as they do. They are 40 very underwater and fighting a pretty strong current fin the natural spring. We even met a couple of mermaids. The beach area is very nice and the water is cold enough to be refreshing but not uncomfortable. Fast place for the entire family.
This is a truly wonderful place, and I especially appreciate the natural environment. The boat tour was quite informative, and the mermaid show showcased a very talented team, with everyone being so courteous. The grill we dined at had friendly staff, was clean, and provided fast service, with everything we ordered being delicious. The water slide and swimming area were fantastic, and the lazy river, with its natural beauty, was the highlight. All of this was available at a low and affordable cost, making it well worth the visit. It is advisable to arrive early, at 9 am, to experience everything before any potential rain. Plus, there is the opportunity to meet and greet an animal, and the beautiful peacocks add to the overall charm.
It was a very nice surprise. The park is well maintained. The mermaids show was very nice and the kids loved it. The boat ride was short but we could see some animals. The rangers were very nice and explained about the local wild life. You don’t have to pay extra to see the show or ride the boat. It is important to reserve your spot at the dock as soon as you enter at the park if not you might miss this activity. Unfortunately the water slides were closed for the season.
Our family loves this place. So nice! The young staff are always so nice and work their butts off, the equipment is good and the water and experience is justly perfect. We have been a few times, but this was the first time we saw manatees. We saw 2 up close and personal.
