LakeHouse Spa
LakeHouse Spa offers a serene lakeside retreat in Austin, blending natural beauty with wellness amenities. The Hill Country setting provides a tranquil backdrop, ideal for relaxation, though some facilities like the steam room and sauna may not always meet expectations. Services range from massages to facials, with varying levels of thoroughness, and the on-site dining delivers modest portions in a pleasant outdoor setting.
While the friendly staff enhances the experience, certain areas—such as lounge comfort and facility maintenance—could benefit from upgrades. The spa’s charm lies in its scenic surroundings, making it a solid choice for those prioritizing nature over luxury. Early bookings are advised to secure optimal availability and a more immersive visit.

This wasn't a great experience and I'd recommend not checking this place out if you're a day spa guest. Upon checking in, I had to ask them where to go/what to do as it was my first time there (which they knew because they asked me). The steam room and dry sauna in the lockerooms were tiny and not functioning well. The showers did not have body wash or conditioner (both bottles empty) and there was a cup on the floor all day that was never picked up by the staff. The treatment specialist didn't communicate well and was very rough during my massage, as I had to ask multiple times to ease up so it wasn't relaxing for me. The pool was dirty, the grounds are mostly blocked off for overnight guests, and the lunch was underwhelming. Given how much this treatment was ($600 with fees/taxes), I'd say it was not worth it and likely wont return without significant upgrades.
Elegant surroundings at calm, quiet and peaceful Lake Austin. Splendid nature, pools and TX Hill Country setting. Not impressed by lunch or portions but pleased at the ability to enjoy a cocktail outside. Services were par but not quite as upscale as expected or received at similarly priced premium resort spas. Facilities were clean & sanitary. Facial was not as thorough nor was massage as rigorous as expected. Nice that they offered a discount on products if purchased same day. Complimentary gift bag was missing items and just "sorry we’re out" despite using a half-day spa certificate. Go for a service and enjoy glorious Texas nature in abundance as that was 5 ⭐️ star.
The good: Beautiful grounds Friendly staff Restaurant on site/food comes with day packages The bad: At these prices it would have been nice for them to inform us that the sauna and steam room were not working, since those are part of the packages Also, I feel like it would be nice to receive a free champagne or a mimosa as most other spas (and hotels do) upon arrival. Even most nail places do this when you first enter. For a place of this caliber they might secret shop their competitors to stay on top of the excellent competition. I would still give it four stars due to the friendly staff and the grounds. I’ve had better facials and massages but I can not say that they performed poorly, just not the best that I’ve experienced. I feel like preferences in massages and facials vary widely with individuals.
I highly recommend booking an early treatment and planning to spend the day at the spa! Such a gorgeous environment!
Hate to say it but this place was just okay and not great compared to the cost. Massages were bad— more of a body rub, rough, and didn’t focus on the areas asked. The facilities could have been nicer: multiple ceiling light and speaker covers either missing or rusty, spa windows were translucent from having not been cleaned in a long time. Steam room was broken and sauna was not on and ready. Lunch was subpar with stale chips. Oh, and you can’t see the lake from any of the main spa facilities which was a surprise for LakeHouse Spa.
Too bad there is not a 3.5 rating. The staff gets a 6, they are amazing! The room gets a 2.5 (the rooms are very small, there is only one comfortable chair to lounge, the TV is older so you're not able to connect your laptop hdmi without taking the TV off the wall, for example) and the old bathroom style (no glass walk in shower and the toilet area is very small, so small that I accidentally bumped the picture that was directly to the side of the toilet with my shoulder and it fell to the floor, for example.) The spa gets a 4 but could get less. I've been here twice in 4 months, and both times, the men's steam room was out of order. The food is fantastic, and the portions are perfect for those wanting to stay at a healthy weight. Overall, it's too pricey, massages are too expensive, and the wine is off the chart expensive for two examples. You can stay at Sandals in Jamaica cheaper per night. Alas, we will return, but only when there is a great special discount to make it worth it.
This place is so serene and peaceful! We went for a staycation for a couple of days and the resort treated us really well. The food was fresh - farm to table and so good. We went during the summer and while it was hot, the lake cooled us off with the activities they had - paddleboarding, kayaking, boating etc. Loved that the resort is also dog friendly. My dog was so spoiled the whole time and they fed her rice and chicken/steak everyday. Would definitely come back!!
