Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

This place has become borderline criminal enterprise. My gf had a monthly membership $80 a month and we would trade off massages monthly . We decided to cancel membership and a year and half later a 50 minute massage is now $160 not including tip. Like excuse me ? You are charging double what you did last year and not evening compensating the professional a livable wage . Go anywhere but here , corporate greed and health and wellness do mix well. Just saw response from the owner- no need to contact you directly , here is your chance to defend business what is your staff’s hourly wage and compensation per massage ? Is it half of $160 ? Or even less than that ?

I made a same day appointment and got Sean. He was amazing. Great pressure and strong hands. Wonderful technique. He even gave me a recommendation for a restaurant that I ended up having lunch at and it was delicious! Thank you Sean I will be back next time I'm in Denver. You're the best!

While visiting Denver for a work trip I was in so much pain from my neck to my back. I had gone to the chiropractor with no relief so I figured I’d give this place a try. Randy was my massage therapist and hands down the best massage ive ever had. He tailored it to exactly what I needed. I had no expectations, but I feel amazing today. I really didn’t expect to feel this good and I am so thankful I gave this place a try!

I've been going to this location for nearly 4 years. Far too often they are calling me last minute to move my appointment for better scheduling due to whatever issues they have with their system, or accommodate someone else who has booked layer. I've booked my appointment over a month in advance for 1pm on a Saturday. At 5:45pm Friday night I received a voicemail telling me that they NEED me to move to either 12 or 1:30. If I still want to come in another provider will be available. This is the exact wording of the message I received. I called as soon as they opened that this was unacceptable, and the woman who answered the phone told that was not what was said in the message (it is still on my phone clear as day). If you're looking to book an appointment and expect to keep it, this location isn't for you. Not only that they'll lie right to you about what they said. So now I will be further inconvenienced to have to go to a different location that respects their customer's time and are able to schedule properly.

Randy Romero (not to be confused w the other Randy I guess) has the magic combo one only finds once in a while— someone who is clearly an EXPERT in their chosen field, and someone who is in the perfect right career for them and loves what they do. Massages are such a dice roll and I’ve had some really bad ones. Randy was super communicative, respectful, professional, and very intuitive of what I needed and was comfortable with. Massaging is a skill and is its own thing, but in addition to expert massage skills, Randy had the sixth sense—and clearly is a people person! He never made me feel bad for asking questions or requesting changes. Thanks for making my day 🫶🏻 wish I were rich so I could come back once a week 🥲 if you are reading this on google and you have money, get in the books!!

Randy R "Romeo" was the best and I highly recommend. For most of my life, I’ve never been able to get that firm of a massage as most in the past have fatigued or were less developed with hand strength. For the first time, I had a massage - I almost fell asleep I was that euphoric. Great place and awesome service!

Edit: The business responded below as if they were going to resolve the issue. I reached out. They didn't respond. This appears to be 'review washing' and I have adjusted my original review to reflect that. Unfortunately my review is based on the corporate policies and not the therapists. I hope they can find more supportive employers elsewhere. Very disappointing. I would happily support these therapists at a different spa. Hand and Stone is a scam. My husband and I were members here for 3 years. I only came here to say that while the massage services we recieved during our membership were lovely, the membership itself was a waste of money. When it came time to cancel because we moved, they made it so difficult and we ended up losing a lot of money in unused credits we were unable to redeem or transfer. It is just like everyone's cliche 'quitting the gym' story. It is sad to write because the front desk staff and massage therapists are very friendly and dedicated, I just ended up leaving with a sour taste in my mouth and would just never recommend this company to anyone due to their difficult and unfriendly policies.
