Customer Reviews
Steam Portland has a rating of 3.7 out of 5 based on over 107 reviews on Google
Extremely clean and popular in Portland. This place is male only unlike the other place on the east side that is more genderbender focused. Very popular on event nights like Cu*union and black out where rooms sell out earlier in the evening and lines form at 9pm or prior. Staff are very friendly and professional, but they do get stressed at the busiest times understandably. There are various rooms and spaces with the steam room being the most popular at the busy times. The rooms are very clean and well kept. The place is often refreshed and updated. Go there with a spa-time expectation and everything else is a bonus. If you are fun, fit, clean, decently groomed, and open-minded to having fun with a great attitude, all the better. All types with emphasis on masculinos of all ages. These top quality places are becoming bar replacements perhaps. Have fun!
The employees keep walking around you. They will clean and walk over the same areas over and over specially if there is some play going on, they will make a point to stand next to the action and start cleaning. The place could be dead and spotless if there are people somewhere they will come clean around them. They also like to flash lights at open rooms which is not cool. I was in my room and employees kept walking by flashing light at the room. They will also start cleaning the walls and doors next to your room and start looking inside your room. This isn’t one employee or two, it’s all of them. I feel judged and like I can’t have any privacy. UPDATE: To the person who responded to my comment — I only leave reviews when I have a bad experience. Your staff likes to go around staring at people, there is no need to go clean an area they JUST cleaned while there is a group having some fun 2nd UPDATE: I don’t need to email, I’ve already left my review. I’ve been to bath houses all over the world and never have I seen staff walk around you so often. I was there at 4am once when there were only a few guys and the staff kept walking back and forth.
Almost went to this place but I was looking at the FAQ and called to confirm - they do not allow anyone with an F on their ID to enter. I can't imagine why this would be the case except to exclude trans men. I would say I'm not giving them my business but they obviously don't want it anyway.
Been here like 4 times, very disappointed. Newly renovated, clean and friendly staffs. However the check in system is very very slow!! These staff didn’t seem to care how long was the line outside. Would have time to chat with customers. If you are expected to have high volume if visitors, be ready to have extra staff or make sure have enough towels and keep cleaning the room. There were few rooms are available but didn’t get cleaned.
The place is very clean, staff are respectful, close to public transport and city. I would have given them a 5 star but there is too much racism going on there. If racism was just only on part of customers I would say well staff or management has no power over that but management doesn’t do any investigations or try to address it when white folks are creating this kind of environment. Overall a great place to be especially on night light out. I still like it even with too much racism going on there.
Our experience here was very fun. This sauna is pretty big and well maintained. I love how it’s clean and not too dark. It was on a Sunday night so it wasn’t very packed, but the amount of dudes was more than enough to have a great time. The crowd was a mixed of young and matured dudes and most of them were cute. I can’t wait to go back.
The crew was friendly and they definitely keep this place pretty clean. The atmosphere was good with a mixed crowd.
