Cambria Hotel Fort Lauderdale Beach

Ok, was scared to stay because of a year old review but they are truly different than what that one persons review was, thankfully. The place is CLEAN. We wanted to check in early but the front desk was NOT playing around about ppl having to wait so rooms could be properly cleaned. I’d say the earliest I could get in was an hour but that’s because the lady cleaning the rooms informed him of the few that were decent. Everything in the facility is clean. No trash in the halls or in the lobby. Nothing gross in the room I stayed in either. We used every part of the room, coffee machine and etc. Things we didn’t miss in the room was a microwave. They have one downstairs you can use at no extra fee. Theres even a decent amount of things you may need in the room but that they'll provide via front desk again at extra cost. Overall my stay was great, rooms set up is cool and it's lit well. Blackout curtains an etc. I'll definitely be back or at least recommend this beautiful place. BTW beach is right right across the street. Super great location!

Loved this hotel! Super clean, friendly staff, quiet spot, and everything worked perfectly! Beds were clean and comfy. Plus, it's less than a minute walk to the beach! The only bummer is the valet parking, which is $40 a night. But our valet, Jamie, was awesome! Such a sweet guy, and super helpful with activity ideas. I'd totally pay for the valet parking again just for him.

While the furnishings were modern, the bathroom door was tough to open for both rooms we reserved. The shower water pressure was light and took a lot of work to get the shower started with the button. One of the rooms the cable was not connected to the tv. We did like the modern furnishings and aesthetic and the beds. Overall, served its purpose and was still a decent stay. But a couple things could make it better

They had very good customer service. Very helpful when my reservation with 3rd party didn’t show up there. They made sure we were taken care of and went extra mile to get the problem fixed. Room was excellent and very clean. Bar area and staff exceptional. If trying to decide to stay here. Don’t! Just do it! They will not disappoint.

We normally love staying with Cambria, the Fort Lauderdale location was a little disappointing. We liked the rooftop, but tables would be nice. The hot tub was warmish, not hot the 3 times we used. The fitness center was awesome. Lastly the hot water in the shower just did not seem to be getting hot. Our first night we did receive notice there was a problem, the a notice it was fixed. After letting water run full hot for 15 minutes we went to bed. When we checked in the morning it was still cool, let it run longer and just never seemed to get hot. Let the desk know and they looked into it and said problem was fixed. We just took lukewarm showers while there.

The location and look of the hotel were exceptional. Check in was fine. However, services were nonexistent. Our first room has to be changed because the keys didn't open the door. Our next room was 74 degrees and we couldn't figure out how to get the A/C to stay on and cool it down. When we asked the front desk, they said someone would check on it tomorrow but never did. They offered to change our room again when we had already unpacked and we declined. On check in we were told that there was no morning coffee service in the lobby and it was in the room only. The coffee in the room was not well supplied (four pods and one creamer pod). We were told there was housekeeping only on request. When we requested fresh towels after the first day we were told they were short and they would be back in half an hour to provide them. They never came. The rest of our stay fresh towels were never provided. We left our wet towels in the hall as instructed along with everyone else on the floor and it was unsightly. By the end we were using our damp remaining bath towels as hand towels at the sink. Worst service I've ever had at a hotel. Would not recommend.

This stay would have been more horrible if the experience wasn’t actually laughable. The interactions that we had with every single employee was almost straight out of a comedy sketch. I encourage you to contact a TV company because I believe it would succeed better than running a hotel. Between the face towel towels that were being considered pool towels and the employee that told us to "go" when we arrived at the elevator while she was cleaning the floor we felt like we were truly an inconvenience. I quite literally have had a better customer experience at the Motel 6. Asking the amount of money for a hotel room as they do, it’s quite insane. We stayed for Christmas and we felt like we were trying to cheer up the employees who are in some serious need of customer service skills. We got a nice text message that asked us if we needed anything on the day that we arrived however, after responding to the text message, after two days, we still did not receive any clean towels as was our only request. The team should also learn that action speak louder than words because there were absolutely no actions to make us have a comfortable stay.
