Hotel Maren Fort Lauderdale Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton

We had a really good stay at Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort (Maren). Check-in was smooth and everything felt easy from the start. The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. The room was excellent and spacious — super comfortable bed, a nice view, and a large bathroom. There’s also a Starbucks attached to the hotel, which is incredibly convenient. A special highlight was the gym: modern, very well equipped, and I loved getting to train on a Peloton bike. The only issue we had was housekeeping — our room wasn’t cleaned one day, even though we were out all day. Overall, the location is great. Unfortunately, we had very windy weather so I couldn’t really enjoy the beach or the pool this time — I’ll have to come back for that!

Great hotel in a great location. Rooms are spacious and have the required amenities. I had a west facing room and view was still decent across the FL Marina. Gym facilities are adequate and conference facilities are decent. WiFi stability was a challenge, but resolved soon enough.

After checking out of the Bahia Mar Hotel following a truly awful experience with both the room and guest services, we walked into Hotel Maren hoping for a miracle—and we got one. The General Manager, Stuart Levy, was incredibly empathetic and immediately made us feel heard and cared for. He personally showed us a beautiful room, which we ended up booking on the spot. The room was absolutely gorgeous—spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Stuart truly went above and beyond, and the exceptional service didn’t stop there. Sean was absolutely wonderful helping us with our luggage and took the time to share everything there is to know about the hotel and the surrounding area. Cassandra at the front desk made the check-in process smooth and welcoming. We truly cannot speak highly enough about our experience. From the people to the property itself, Hotel Maren exceeded every expectation. We are so happy to have found our new home base whenever we travel to Fort Lauderdale Beach!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Maren and couldn’t have asked for a better setting for a couple’s getaway. The location is unbeatable—waking up to the sound of the waves and stunning ocean views made the experience feel truly special and relaxing. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, perfect for unwinding after a day by the beach.||What really made our stay stand out was the exceptional service. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, but a special mention goes to Anika at the front desk. She was incredibly nice, warm, and helpful, and made us feel genuinely cared for from check-in to check-out. Her positive attitude really set the tone for our stay.||The only minor drawbacks to note were that our room faced a nearby construction site with noises time to time, which slightly took away from the view during the day, and the hotel restaurant automatically included an 18% gratuity even for takeout orders. While neither issue significantly impacted our overall experience, it’s something future guests may want to be aware of. ||Overall, this hotel is perfect for couples looking for a romantic, peaceful beach escape. We left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to coming back!

Stayed here before a cruise out of Port Everglades and really enjoyed our time! The location is great—right across from the beach and close to lots of shops and restaurants. We didn't get to use the pool due to rain, but it looked nice. The hotel bar/restaurant was also a great spot to hang out, with nice decor and delicious snacks.

Honestly, had a disappointing experience with this hotel. Service was abysmal. Our room was not reading until about 1.5 hours after check in time - as a Diamond member this is unacceptable, especially after a long day of travel. It seems like the delay might have stemmed from being upgraded from our original base room to an oceanfront room; however, I would rather have had room access than wait for an upgrade.The front desk did not do a great job of communicating this information, providing information about delay (simply stating "I hope the room is ready soon, but it could be ready whenever"), or notifying us that the room was ready (we were assured we would receive a text, which never happened, we only discovered the room was ready upon calling). No compensation was immediately or proactively offered (we discovered extra drink tickets later, but the drink options were lackluster - house wine, well liquor, beer, or soft drinks - nothing we were interested in, especially when we were tired). The front desk also had difficulty with my request to split the bill onto two credit cards. After finding a staff member who could do this, the system unfortunately went down. I was assured that my second card saved in the system despite declining and they would charge my card when the system was back up (after we checked out). This was not the case - to their credit, the hotel called me to get the second card information, but I had already embarked on a cruise and was not with my card at the time. I asked if I could call back when I had the card, was put on hold for 10 minutes - at this point, I hurried to retrieve my card. The staff member was elated I ran to get my card because "they don't normally take credit cards over the phone" ...what? Room was fine, but after the delay checking in, dinner, and leaving the next morning, we really didn't spend much time in it. Worth noting that we had an accessible room and the shower was extremely slippery. Overall, there are a lot of hotel options in Fort Lauderdale and I will be choosing another hotel in the future.

The staff here was absolutely amazing. Sean was a standout—he provided so many great tips that really helped us enjoy our vacation. From the front desk to the valet, to Sean, the service was top-tier. Our 10th-floor view was stunning and truly the highlight of the room. However, I’m giving this 3 stars because of the room’s condition. I value cleanliness, and unfortunately, this stay fell short of the Hilton standard. There was visible black mildew in the shower and the floors were heavily soiled. It was disappointing for such a beautiful property. If the room had been properly detailed, this would have easily been a 5-star experience.
