The Westin Buffalo

Five stars, without hesitation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment travel chaos hit (hello, cancelled flight), the staff at the Westin Downtown Buffalo handled everything with grace, empathy, and genuine problem-solving skills. Instead of stress, we were met with understanding and a seamless solution that allowed us to stay an extra night—no scrambling, no attitude, just excellent hospitality. The rooms were spotless, quiet, and incredibly comfortable—exactly what you want after a long travel day. The beds lived up to the Westin reputation, and the overall vibe of the hotel felt calm, polished, and welcoming. Patina 250 deserves its own shout-out. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff there were just as wonderful as the hotel team—attentive, friendly, and clearly proud of what they do. Great energy, great service, and a perfect spot to unwind without ever leaving the building. One tiny nitpick: the rain shower head. I know they’re trendy, but nobody wants water trickling on their head after a long day. That said—this is such a minor issue it’s not even close to affecting the rating. Location, cleanliness, comfort, and truly outstanding staff make this Westin a standout. I’d absolutely stay here again—and hopefully next time without a flight cancellation just to test their flexibility (though it’s nice to know they’ve mastered that too).

My stay at this hotel was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I checked in. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and elegant. I felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout my stay. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and quality

We couldn't have asked for a better experience! From Mike w/ valet, check-in, & housekeeping on our floor, everyone was so welcoming and made us feel very special. The room was spotless, and we had a great time in the restaurant. Being able to take the shuttle to/from Shea's 71o Theatre was an added bonus too! The Buffalo Westin has a lot to be proud off.

Our stay at the Westin Buffalo was truly enjoyable. The service throughout was excellent — every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and professional. The highlight of the hotel, without a doubt, is its gym. It’s easily the best fitness facility I’ve ever seen in any hotel — spacious, spotless, and equipped with top-quality machines and amenities that make working out a pleasure. The rooms were very comfortable, with plush beds that made for a great night’s sleep and a modern, welcoming design. The only minor downside was that the windows could do a bit more to reduce outside street noise, but overall, the experience was first-rate. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the Westin Buffalo to anyone looking for a clean, stylish, and well-managed hotel with outstanding facilities.

Fine hotel, but may have the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Any issues, will be ignored. No communication back from location. As a platinum Marriott member, I would avoid this hotel and stay elsewhere. Additionally the hotel is very very overpriced. Recommendation : there are much better Marriott hotels in the area, I’d avoid this one.

The front desk took great care of us. When we arrived, our room was not available so they upgraded us to the Chairman Suite. Our mother stayed in the suite all day and rested. It was the size of a large apartment. Service was outstanding. Location was fantastic. We'll definitely be back.

Dry pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of this property. Staff are amazingly friendly. Shout out to Nahadi who checked us in, upgraded us to a jr. suite as bonvoy members and gave us great area restaurant recommendations. ||Our jr. suite was great with two large screen TVs, a large bathroom with a big walk in shower and plenty of storage area for our personal items. Also real bar soap - almost non existent these days. | Bedroom was large and comfortable. Plenty of storage area. ||AC worked great. Always a plus for us! Nice area for restaurants and walking around Buffalo to see the great architecture.
