Enjoyed our stay. First night after traveling and exhausted went to the Bar for a bite and a cocktail. We were greeted by Barry and Cathy who made us feel welcomed. Great conversation and very relaxing with them both. Said thank you and goodbye to Cathy since she would be off the remainder of our stay. Donna was on duty the days after Cathy, Barry recommended wonderful places to eat. Donna was very welcoming such as Cathy. Upon check in we were greeted with a friendly smile and H2O to stay hydrated. The hotel is under remodeling but no inconvenience was encountered. Had the breakfast buffet with a made to order omelet which was delicious. Ordered from the menu for breakfast and dinner another day food was good . The only thing I would improve is for the breakfast staff to not have loud conversations among themselves as others are trying to enjoy their meal and wake up Location was convenient but a little misleading about walk to White House etc. As a senior we took uber the most of the time. Shout out to Cathy, Barry and Donna for your hospitality

First visit to Washington DC. We selected the Westin Washington DC City Center because of good reviews, we have stayed at the Westin in many locations, and the location seemed to be good. John Gilligan the hotel manager did advise us a couple of days prior to our visit that the lobby and reception area was being remodelled so we were prepared for that, although we could see some guests arriving who obviously were not forewarned and they did not look happy. The remodelling going on was quite significant and it is never a good sign when the check in desk is offering ear protectors for guests. Although we did have some prior notice of these disturbing works, I would say that they definitely detracted from our experience. And I believe the construction work could have been screened off, and carried out in a better way. There is even an argument that the hotel should have closed for the period of this major renovation. John Gilligan had kindly arranged a surprise for us in our room as it was a special occasion and that was very thoughtful. The hotel is a bit dated, rather blandly decorated, and we can call the room functional more than anything else. The price may have reflected the construction work going on, but we had very little notice of that, and some arriving guests appeared to have none. The reception area is now a temporary desk floating in the middle of the construction where one poor employee gets to greet and check in the unhappy arrivals who are looking around at the drilling and hammering in the lobby. There are various Westins in Washington DC and the name City Center may be slightly misleading as another Westin is more more centrally located but we found the location OK and walked a lot of places without problem except for torrential rain one day which is not the fault of anyone. The bar area was still operating and Barry there was doing a great job, very friendly, very helpful and with lots of advice and suggestions for the first time visitor. The bar had good drinks and food and despite the upheaval was operating OK. Maybe another time, the Westin would have got 4 stars without the construction going on, but it is looking a bit tired and dated even though it probably isn't and I suppose the remodelling will spruce up the reception and lobby area.

I had a wonderful stay at the Westin Washington, D.C. City Center, and Barry and Iyana truly made the experience even better. Barry gave excellent recommendations and helped guide us in the right direction during the storm, which we really appreciated. His professionalism, friendliness, and local knowledge stood out. Iyana also went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of throughout our stay. Her kindness, attentiveness, and positive attitude made a big difference and did not go unnoticed. On top of that, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the beds were especially comfy—perfect after a long day in the city. Overall, a great stay with outstanding service. Highly recommend, and special thanks to Barry and Iyana for their outstanding hospitality!

I was very disappointed with my stay at the Westin City Center DC and expected much more from a hotel that claims to be 4-star. We booked a King Room, which was extremely basic and honestly felt more like a 2-star hotel. The sheets had multiple visible stains, which was unacceptable and made the room feel unclean. While the location is great and the staff were generally polite, the overall experience was overshadowed by poor transparency and noise issues. At the time of booking, there was no mention that the lobby was under renovation. Only after the booking was confirmed did we receive an email about it. I immediately called to cancel, but the manager assured us there would be no dust or noise during our stay. That turned out to be completely untrue. Around 7:00 AM, there was loud construction noise—hammering and what sounded like wall demolition—that made it impossible to sleep. We called the front desk, and the noise stopped for about 30 minutes, only to start up again shortly after. Overall, this stay was very frustrating. Between the poor room condition, misleading information about renovations, and early morning construction noise, this hotel does not live up to the Westin name or a 4-star rating. I would not stay here again.

We were excited to see Washington DC and wanted a hotel near the downtown area where all the excitement is. This facility is in a good location, but, unfortunately, we ran into a few problems.||The room was fine, it is not large but there is sufficient space. They even brought me a microwave at no extra cost, which was a nice gesture. There was a safe in the room and a mini-fridge. On the other hand, I found a dead cockroach near the window (a photo is attached). Not good! Also, the carpet is a little bit worndown.||On the positive side, Noah in the front desk area was very helpful. I needed to find how to get to the subway and he was willing to walk with me out onto the street to point me in the correct direction. This was greatly appreciated. Perhaps because of the holiday season, the front of the hotel is brightly lit up outside with vertical stripes of bright colors.||As a platinum-level married member, I was entitled to a free breakfast. However, to my surprise, this involved only being able to order one entree from the breakfast menu. This is a little bit unusual, usually breakfast is an all-you-can-eat affair at Marriott hotels. Fortunately, as it was a holiday, the waitress allowed me to order more than one entree without extra charge. ||The cost of the hotel is moderate, considering that this is a hotel in a major city.

I had a generally nice stay at the Westin Hotel in Washington, DC. The hotel was comfortable and well maintained, and overall the experience was pleasant. However, I was disappointed by an unexpected charge related to package deliveries. I ordered a few items online from Amazon during my stay, and I was charged around $10 for each package delivered to my room. This was not clearly communicated in advance, and the extra fees added up quickly. Aside from this issue, the stay was good, but I believe the hotel should be more transparent about package handling charges to avoid surprises for guests.

John, GM so sorry I missed the window for the survey, thank you for reaching out I hope this review will suffice! The Westin DC City Center has been my primary hotel for DC Travels for the last 10 years. I feel like I'm home when I stay there at this point lol. When I tell my friends I'm coming into DC they already know where they can find me! I came in town for my birthday and The Boy is Mine concert on 11/30. The guest service team suggested Kitchen + Kocktails for my birthday brunch and it was a fantastic experience. I did have two grievances with the room, one of which you all declared an emergency and apologized for via email. The other was the bedding. I hadn't pulled the sheets back before returning at the end of the night. The sheets looked terribly slept in. At this point I think the masses know to expect that the sheets are not changed with every guest, but this was obvious. The sheets were turning in color. It could just be time to get new bedding inventory, but I had to get out of my head about it in order to fall asleep. Otherwise, friendly staff, beautiful lobby, great walkability.
