Im so glad places like this exist. A small business in an unorthodox setting/location that makes you not just fulfilled for getting high quality clothing but a sense of keeping a community alive. Great place to get handmade Japanese denim and very friendly staff. Buster helped me find my jeans and hemmed them for me. Located kinda in a narrow street with a couple parking spots out front. Check em out.

Located in Ballard the story is neatly tucked on a side street. Found it! Went inside to purchase a Sashiko cap! Chatted up the attendants and found a t-shirt to go with the hat. Know this, if u are a big guy the jeans and shirts are few. They have a good selection of brands and if u get lucky the denim is yours! Friendly staff, decent location! Next to the locks!

Have ordered online before, but was able to stop by in person during a recent trip to Seattle. John and the rest of the team in store were great to hang out with and made shopping a great experience. Incredible selection of brands and items from them. Grabbed a sweatshirt and got my sizing for a few brands I’ve been interested in.

After years of being into raw/selvedge denim I was excited to visit Blue Owl and wow was I ever disappointed! Upon arrival my wife and I were greeted with a half ass hello and that’s pretty much it. I was really hoping to talk denim and find that awesome pair I have been looking for. We were completely ignored the whole time while the guys working were just talking cars with some guy and pretty much just jacking around. Maybe I just didn’t look the type or wasn’t part of some tech bro click. You can buy all of the denim they sell on line which I am going to do the moment after I finish this review. If I could give zero stars I would.

I haven't visited the physical store yet, but from an online shopping perspective, I would give a positive recommendation and 5 stars due to the unique selection of high quality items. Fast communication if you have any questions via email, rewards points that can be applied to future purchases and good value on sale items are all a plus. The return policy is fair and clearly stated (store credit, buyer pays for return shipping...not the most convenient compared to bigger companies, but 100% understandable)

The biggest selection of both imported and made in USA selvedge denim- Railcar, Naked and Famous, and Hiroshi Kati to name a few. Went in with novice level knowledge, and they brought me up to speed and were super knowledgeable and I bought the pair they suggested, not the ones that I went in for. Hem on site, you read that right. Had a nice selection of boots, Birkenstocks, shirts and accessories. I’ll definitely be back. They accept cash for those that carry it. Really enjoyed this shop local place.

I've purchased denim from Blue Owl twice now... and both times were a great experience. The staff is very friendly, relaxed, and extremely knowledgeable. They even hemmed a purchased pair of jeans a second time, at no cost. I'll continue buying my jeans here for as long as they're around!
