Sole Repair Shop

This place is a gem! As a photographer who loves intimate weddings and spaces with lots of character, this is one of my favorite venues to shoot in! The building is so fun, with the wood, exposed beams, white walls and old windows that let in lots of natural light. I also love how you can shoot from the upper loft to get great photos below. WE LOVE THIS PLACE! We go married there last week and they handled everything PERFECTLY. Michele the venue coordinator is so on top of her stuff. She is quick to reply to emails and worked tirelessly to get everything right for our wedding. We did our wedding on a budget, and she worked so well with us and we kept to our budget! In a world where everyone up-charges for a wedding: be Sole Repair Shop! They are so transparent and upfront about all the costs so we were never surprised by a bill. It was such a gorgeous venue, the staff was TOP NOTCH! Everyone from the door folx to bar staff, were literally the nicest hardest working people. My wife and I literally could not have imagined getting married anywhere else. It. was. Perfect. Everything was clean, the food and drinks were perfect, and if you’re a younger queer couple tryna find a place to get married on the hill: this is your spot. We felt loved and celebrated and free on the day of our wedding and had ZERO concerns or complaints about Sole Repair Shop. Michele— we don’t want kids, but if we did we would name our first child after you cus you came in CLUTCH!!!

perfect wedding spot if you have less than 60 guests and want easy access to bars afterward. As a wedding DJ the flow is great between the upstairs for dinner and back down for dancing. The space is efficient for a smaller wedding. The sound is great and the staff is very friendly and diligent which makes for a flawless experience DJ Darius Groove on Hyde Street DJs

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Sole Repair in August this year. We loved it from the second we looked at it, and the venue, food, staff and atmosphere did not disappoint on the day. We had 75 guests with a buffet dinner and there was plenty of space for dancing, seating and tables. The food was spectacular, we got so many amazing comments, the staff serving drinks were efficient and super pleasant. Although everything was amazing the shining star of Sole Repair is Katie. We planned our Seattle wedding from Boston and working with Katie was THE BEST experience it was like chatting to a friend, effortless, easy and so much fun. She answered all our emails promptly and thoroughly, she was there whenever we needed her, she helped us with decorations and co-ordinating vendors and with our one off requests. She is kind, friendly and approachable which is exactly want you need on your wedding day, she was always smiling and it was a great comfort knowing she had everything under control. We had the best day of our lives at Sole Repair and could not recommend it more!

An event space that has a nice balance of a rustic and industrial feel with a garage door to open on nice days. I photographed a wedding there and the service of the staff there was prompt. Ashley, the venue manager did a wonderful job of running the event free of hiccups. The food (tacos) was delicious and they made sure there were accommodations for people with varying dietary restrictions. Overall, I loved photographing at this hidden gem in Capitol Hill and would love to go back!

I’ve been to a few private parties at this location, most recently a Halloween party with former colleagues and I was again so impressed by this place. It really is the perfect private party venue! Now I want to host my own client appreciation event here next!

Had my wedding here 1/25/25. All our guests had an amazing time. Everything went smoothly, dinner was great and the staff and bartenders were all so fun! Shoutout to Michele and Melissa.
