Empire Social Lounge (Brickell Location)
Empire Social Lounge in Brickell, Miami, presents itself as an upscale cigar lounge with a decent selection of cigars and a well-appointed bar area. The setting is notable for its high-back chairs and dark chocolate paneled walls, creating a commendable atmosphere. However, the service is often described as just okay, which may not meet the expectations of some patrons.
While the lounge offers a great selection of liquor, patrons have felt that the prices are quite high, even for Miami standards. Additionally, the lack of a cocktail or food menu can be surprising. The overall experience can be underwhelming, with some visitors finding the environment a bit stuffy and pretentious. Despite these drawbacks, Empire Social Lounge provides a nice setting for a whiskey and cigar, especially for those who appreciate a good humidor selection.

Very nice upscale cigar lounge . Decent selection of cigars. Nice bar area. Service was okay.
This was a nice lounge however I felt blindsided when I got the receipt. There was no cocktail menu or food menu but $30 a drink is ridiculous, even for Miami. Additionally, they had no food so we had to UberEats. My friends and I had a 8 drinks, and the total price was 300$. I will attach the receipt but this felt deceiving considering there was no menu to look at prices.
An empty room full of arrogance. This place manages to be pretentious without having a single customer to justify it. I sat down in a completely vacant bar and ordered a Macallan 12, only to be told my seat was "for six people." Six imaginary people, apparently. I was then instructed to move five feet away—because rules matter more than reality here. I canceled the drink and asked for water. Not sparkling. Not bottled. Tap water. I was informed—without irony—that they don’t have tap water. At that point, I declined everything. I was only there so my friend could smoke his cigar. Despite being told explicitly that I didn’t want a drink, the hostess returned with a pour of Macallan anyway, clearly hoping to stick me with it. That alone tells you exactly what kind of operation this is. If not for basic courtesy to my friend, I would’ve walked without paying a cent. This place isn’t upscale—it’s delusional. Rigid, tone-deaf service wrapped in empty-room snobbery. Avoid it entirely. The lack of patrons isn’t a coincidence—it’s a warning.
We stopped by before our annual Thanksgiving week Caribbean cruise...nice lounge...but I was underwhelmed...service was acceptable...reviews mentioned that this is possibly the best cigar lounge in the US...absolutely not...the setting is commendable...high back chairs...dark chocolate paneled walls...great liquor selection...but these are common characteristics of upscale lounges...Would I return? Probably not...with the exception of me being able to say I smoked a stick in a cigar lounge downtown Miami...there was really nothing memorable about my experience...drinks were adequate...my stick burned ok...which I'm always appreciative for...they do offer military discount...again...for a guy that travels the planet hitting cigar lounges...didn't quite hit the mark for me...a lil stuffy in my opinion...and I LOVE the finer things in life...this thing I adore requires attention to detail...not just pretty waitresses...I could go on and on...but I will stop there...if you're in the area...stop by...you'll pick it up immediately...
Big fan of the Ft Lauderdale location so gave this one a shot. It didn't disappoint. Very high end, great selection of cigars/drinks, and service was excellent.
Update... Stopped by here again on my trip to Miami, this is one of the top cigar lounges in the country. Fantastic!... Empire Social is a spectacular cigar lounge located in the heart of Brickell. The space is absolutely beautiful. They also have a diverse selection of cigars for sale as well, with some cigars for purchase being very hard to get. This place is by far one of the nicest cigar lounges that I have ever been to. Not since the now closed Grand Havana Room in New York have I been to a place this good. Needless to say, I highly recommend it here and can't wait to see how the new location in Ft Lauderdale is going to turn out!
Great vibe...nice lounge for a whisky & cigar while watching the game. Good selection in the humidor as well.
