Havertys Furniture

I walked in after work, looking like a homeless person. Tami greeted me at the door and ask me a few questions. Walked me to a few different pieces of furniture. I found the perfect set except the color of fabric. No problem. Tami worked with me until we found the fabric that I wanted, And it all worked out. It will take a little longer because their custom doing it, but I was so thrilled. The Designer of the stores displays was there that day and she was so helpful. I felt like I was treated for me not how I was dressed. So glad I chose Haverty.

I want to share my experience with the service at Havertys. Over the years, I have consistently received excellent service, particularly from one of their main salespeople, Carl, who has been very helpful. I have purchased a significant amount of furniture from him and his team. However, I encountered a problem with a nightstand I bought a couple of years ago. The door has been malfunctioning, as it keeps opening on its own. When I initially reported this issue to Carl, I did not receive a follow-up, so I called the store directly. A representative informed me that someone would reach out to arrange a visit to assess the problem. Given the amount of money I have spent at Havertys and the expectations around the quality of their furniture, I was quite disappointed. I have had to manually close the drawer every day after returning home from work or shopping. Unfortunately, the store's follow-up was insufficient, and I was left dissatisfied with both the product and the lack of support. Based on this experience, I would hesitate to recommend purchasing a dresser from Havertys, especially if the company does not seem to uphold its promises regarding quality and customer support.

We had a great experience at Havertys today. Tammy greeted us as soon as we walked in and was incredibly warm and welcoming. She helped us with every decision along the way. Her knowledge, patience, and friendly attitude made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. We truly appreciated her help and left feeling confident and happy with our choices.

Absolutely the greatest service I have ever received hands down. Carl listened to my concerns, took my needs and wants into consideration, and pointed me in the direction I needed to head. I cannot emphasize enough that this was my best experience, and am very grateful for his care and attentive nature. I will be coming back without hesitation. Thank you again for helping my family.

We had a very pleasant shopping experience during our latest purchase from Havertys. Carl Shupe at the Newport News store was very knowledgeable about mattresses and helped us pick out what we needed. Thank you!

Teya and Kenny were great to work with and very patient! Hoping delivery and quality of our purchases will also be excellent! Update: Unfortunately a kit that was needed in order to connect the headboard we purchased to the bed frame we purchased was not communicated or ordered. When the delivery was received the headboard could not be attached. I called the store and the kit was ordered and we picked it up. We intended to attach it ourselves. When we attempted to attach it we found that we could not unscrew the legs on the bed frame. A call to Tempurpedic confirmed they can be unscrewed however they had been over tightened. Two calls to the store over two days and though we have been told a technician will be scheduled to come take care of the problem, a day/time still hasn’t been communicated to us. We just had our furniture from our previous home delivered and there are boxes everywhere. The mattress and bed frame are still on their side as we are elderly and don’t want to put it back down, remake the bed only to unmake it again. This all has been communicated to Havertys yet the manager hasn’t bothered to call. We were told he would be calling customer service this afternoon to have a technician scheduled yet we still haven’t received an update. EXTREMELY frustrated.
