Customer Reviews
Pecan Park has a rating of 4.3 out of 5 based on over 845 reviews on Google
Very nice, clean park, very nice staff, lovely sites. Close to a lot of things to do and eat. Has a small fishing pond, 2 swimming pools, laundry, and clean bathrooms.
This park is an excellent choice for those seeking a well-maintained, low-key environment. The grounds are clean, the sites offer decent spacing, and the overall vibe is very relaxed. While the park itself is remarkably quiet and free from road noise or rowdy neighbors, its proximity to the airport means you will hear the occasional plane overhead. If you are a very light sleeper, you might notice the departures, but for most, the convenience of the location outweighs the intermittent noise.
Well, what to say about this place? This is a challenging review because it's equally as nice as it is...... unacceptable. At least for a person like me in my situation being a Nomad. Let's go with the good first. LOL. Upon arrival I was greeted with the most wonderful smiles and staff of any place you can imagine! They are glad you are here and they make you happy that you chose them. Everything is thoroughly and patiently explained to you in a very fancy upscale office. You will be given more than enough information about the park, the activities, and what's available in the surrounding area. This park is ginormous! There are over 400 premium sites laid out in two different areas of the park being a mile apart from each other! Each section has its own clubhouse, bathroom, swimming pool, and laundry room. The section in the back forty, and this is truly a "back forty" LOL, even has a hot tub and a playground. Although I would expect the hot tub to be more than twice the size for a park of this size. I would also expect the bathrooms to have more than just two shower stalls. The laundry rooms are large, and they are clean. The machines are typically "short cycled" at only 29 minutes for the wash. And of course there is a $0.25 up charge if you want a decent wash. But don't fill up the machine. Your clothes will not get clean with only a half hour cycle. Oh, and watch out for those dryers. They will cook♨️ your clothes even on the medium setting! I inadvertently ruined a couple of things Okay, now for the unpleasant or unacceptable parts, at least for myself. Firstly, it's right next to the airport! ✈️ By right next to the airport. I mean the planes are still retracting their gear as they fly over! Or the gear is already down for landing. And they start at 5:30 in the morning. At least two of them take off then. A full 45 minutes before Orlando. Then at 6:15 There's a dozen of the early flights. So you're going to be awake early. If you're staying in the back 40. That is right next to i-95. So the traffic noise never stops all day and all night. If you are an overnighter as I was. You will be in one of the first "back-in sites closest to the front along the main road. By main road. I mean absolutely everybody who enters this campground will pass by right in front of your camper! And when leaving, especially the people who are in the back section, are already out of patience from going slow for such long drive to the front. So they aren't patient by the time they pass by the front of your camper. This also happens late at night when people are returning from work. It's just a long drive to get to the back section and they are in a hurry. This happens all day and all night including 5:30 in the morning when the planes start! Being a high-end park with all the sites, concrete, level and most of them drive-thru, a park like this caters to big rigs. All big rigs are diesel. So there's more noise as well as the smell. There was a mosquito spray truck which came by last night. I thought that was a nice touch, albeit somewhat redundant, if not amusing, considering airplanes dumping fuel and all the diesel vehicles. There are no shade trees in this property. Probably all cleared out for construction. That's good if you have solar panels, although there would be no use for solar panels when you have power. It is horribly hot here in direct sunlight. Reminds me of Phoenix campgrounds ️
Nice park with nice people working there. 3 stars because it is directly under the flight path for Jacksonville airport and the planes start early and some are quite loud. Also the site we had was not so level at all. Took three of our jacks to the absolute limit and still couldn't get to level.
Our 2nd time staying at Pecan Park was excellent. We had a great concrete pull thru spot on the side next to their lake. The neighbors were quiet and there were no problems. Yes the airplanes fly overhead but we were used to it from our first stay. There is a pool, dog area, and even food trucks came. The city has everything else you would need to enjoy your stay. The flea market next door was just a short walk to pass some time. The grounds were kept clean. We’d definitely return if they’d have us!
This is very nice RV park with a tiny house or 2 for sale. There was a lot fee and 1 year contract for 940$ a month if you purchased a tiny home. The tiny homes where in good shape and only 4 years old being sold at 59,900$
Pecan Park RV Park is conventionally located off I-95, just north of Jacksonville & the International airport. It has numerous level, back in n pull through concrete sites offering full hookups (50/30/15 amp) service. There are paved roads with street lights, cable TV, WiFi, two pools, two laundries & LP gas for sale. There are a dozen tiny houses for rent, some with nice outdoor fireplaces. Kevin the park manager, Heidi n the entire staff try to make your stay enjoyable. You might find I-95 & the airport can be a little noisy at times. They offer monthly rates for those looking to stay a bit longer. It’s a great RV spot to stay overnight or longer.
