Caloosahatchee Regional Park Campground

This is a lesser known gem of Florida, although not very well known it is very beautiful and has some hiking trails and a beautiful campground. It's quiet and there's usually a place to camp. It is of note that you can only tent camp here, no RVs other than for the camp host. The bathroom is very clean and lit, and the campsites themselves seem very taken care of and plenty of room and still have some privacy from your neighbor in many cases. I have camped here on a few occasions and I consider it one of my favorite campgrounds. Parking is paid for by credit card and is policed by license plate reading cameras, while I'm not thrilled about this I believe that it keeps the cost down and keeps this campground in business. I recommend you pay in advance for camping, and bring a credit card to pay to park. For what it's worth I I'm gone here many times and not been eaten up by mosquitoes. Perhaps they spray for them? Definitely put on your visit list!

At first place looks nice and for day activities maybe its good. But not for camping over night. Just maybe the Worst camping spot Ive been too ever. Very loud and noisy. Constant noise from the road, airplanes, peoples dogs barking. It sounds like your camping in the middle of the city. Bathroom is old and dirty so bring your own bucket much better option.

Such a peaceful place and super clean. Would like better signage for trails but that's just me.

We have been going to this campground for years. We love it. It’s always clean, the trails maintained and the staff is awesome!!!
