Sound by the Sea

This space is so fun for a music lover. They are spinning vinyl records and the sound system is great. They even have the decibel meter over in one corner. The vibe is very chill with a lot of photo spots throughout. I ordered an NA cocktail and while it tasted DELICIOUS.... they aren't speedy even on a tuesday night. Totally fine if you have the time to enjoy the music while you wait for your drinks.

The food menu is fabulous!!! The flatbread and empanadas are finger licken' good! They have refreshing specialty teas . The Italian sodas are by far the best you'll ever try. The servers are great at making the most delicious mixed drinks!The atmosphere is so dreamy and retro. Low lighting adds to intimate conversations. The patio is the perfect spot on hot summer nights. It's easy to find a new friend as the vibe is conducive for relationships. Sometimes they have live DJ's and live music. The vibe is chill and sometimes poppin'. If you're feeling romantic, the beach is just a stroll away. You can spend hours here!! The service is outstanding!!! Late hours makes this place a hot spot in Oceanside. Put this place on your bucket list and check it off as soon as you can. Sound by the Sea will be your favorite happy place!

Great drinks (try the El Golpe) and great music. Highly recommended. I drive from Palm Springs to come here because of the unique vibe.

Love the inviting vibes! Super cozy and warm energy at Sound by the Sea. The chicken soup is one of the most unique soups that has ever touched my taste buds. It has a curry essence with a lovely ginger tang. Deliziosa! Warmed my soul! Thank you Dom and Beau Selector for providing such an amazing experience. The three hour Kruder & Dorfmeister/Tosca/Peace Orchestra was ear candy!🙏🏼🤌🏽

Cool place, maybe cool ambiance but the private party was so loud it ruined the vibe. I wouldn’t go again if there is a private party inside. Service was poor, probably because of the private party. We arrived for our reservation at 745. We had three waiters ask us for an order in the first ten minutes, great service. We ordered drinks and then added in a truffle popcorn shortly after. Our drinks came in an acceptable amount of time. The third in our party showed up about 805. A server finally came to get her drink order 10-15 minutes after she sat. Then we waited for popcorn and her drink. The popcorn arrived thirty minutes after ordering it. Thirty minutes after the drink order I finally went to the bar to ask if they were making the drink, waitress said not yet. I kindly asked her to cancel the drink and please check us out. The staff didn’t apply the reservation price to the bill like they state in the reservation booking, but they did refund me the $15 afterwards. I’ll give this place another chance, but they should maybe increase staff if they’re going to remain open during a private event. The bar was covered in dirty glasses because the bartenders were very busy.

This place is so great! Super homie vibes, everyone there treats you like an old friend! The atmosphere is very warm/friendly, while also vibey and aesthetic. The sound is wonderful, and it’s so cool that there are people spinning live vinyl! The food and drinks are thoughtfully curated, everything was delicious! We’ll definitely be back again!

I came here for NYE with reservation for $15. We ordered a couple drinks and they deduct that $15 from the total which was great. There were two DJs I like the first one better. I see myself coming back here again. There were so many different type of people that showed up here which I like.
