I really enjoyed my visit! The dim lighting created a cozy, relaxed atmosphere, and everyone there was friendly and welcoming. The happy hour deals are fantastic—$7 for a Trumer Pilsner is a steal. The overall vibe of the place is fun and laid-back, making it easy to unwind and enjoy the evening. It’s definitely the kind of spot I’d come back to, whether for drinks with friends or just to soak in the atmosphere. A solid recommendation for anyone looking for good drinks, good people, and a great time!
A great little bar where everybody knows your name. One of the gems of Los Angeles, this is one of those friendly bars where everyone is super chill and there’s no pretension. The food is amazing tbh. Surprisingly good. The fried are crispy and crunchy with a hint of rosemary. The karaoke is fun and laid back. The people are warm. The bathrooms could use a little updating but work…sometimes. Parking can be an issue. Wish they had something worked out with a parking lot where you can park for a couple bucks. Overall this place is a great place for a birthday or when you just want to get out of the house and sing a few tunes.
A fun little period-specific bar in Koreatown with a lot of cozy seating and an overall great atmosphere. There are plenty of large booth with wooden tables and even some areas partitioned by semi-see-through curtains. The bar often has karaoke, which is a fun addition to the vibe. Service in general is fine, and the bartenders do their best to get to you in a timely manner. Some have complained about the service, but the three times I’ve been I’ve had no issues at all. Drinks are fairly standard, so nothing too wild there, though they do have Guinness on tap which is as common as you might think. The food is unexpectedly a high point, and the cauliflower tacos are really good! The shells are flaky and light, and the crema they top them with is delicious. Pound-for-pound, it might not be the greatest of Koreatown’s bars, but it’s unique, fun and vibey, and has tasty eats. It’s worth checking out when you’re out and about.
This place was very cozy great seating great red lighting never been to this BAR until tonight. I met up with someone on POF and my experience was horrible the man on POF was so disrespectful then came to find out that he is a regular at this Bar. Horrible person and as for the BAR they will close early not at 2AM like all other BARS in California that is false advertisement operating BARS in California are open & operating until 2 AM So be prepared when they say they close later then don't. The staff was polite but very demanding. I didn't feel safe allowing a man on POF to order my drink without me there to see but I kept a eye out since this is a first time visit to this BAR. I will come back again definitely but under different circumstances not with a man that is insulting disrespectful using POF to mock me & BASH ON ME discrimination on me I will also let POF know about him and his behavior. I did go out to meet this person to bring clarification understanding communication direct to him in a polite way so he isn't fabrication on his own story insinuating with insumption of whatever thoughts he has in his own brain.
Love R Bar so much, it’s a local hub for people in KTown. The bartenders are the best (especially Alana and Victoria) and everyone there is a familiar face once you’ve been in a few times. Come in for karaoke, a drink, some trivia on a Wednesday. This place feels like home ♥️
Cozy and well decorated period-styled speakeasy bar. Was there on a Saturday night but there was no password required as expected. Was a live DJ playing an eclectic selection of old music which was in keeping with the theme. Great menu and happy hour specials. Great selection of food and drinks, and suprisingly very good value. Booths are cozy and private, and floor staff are available to serve at the booth spaces. Great place for intimate meetings or groups of friends alike.
The food here is surprisingly great. We ordered the Quesa Bites, which were shockingly good given that it's such a simple dish. The optional pork is a must, if you ask me. We also ordered the Fork It Brownie Bites but they ran out for the night, which was a big disappointment. Apparently the brownies are homemade everyday and in high-demand, which just made me want them that much more. Guess I'll just have to come by again to try them!
