Grumpy's Comics (formerly Madness Comics)

Wow. What a great experience!! Just started Lorcana and have gone to several TCG stores. Grumpy is the best over all. I felt so welcomed and actually got to play my first TCG there. I never thought I could learn play, but Grumpys made it happen for me. Thank you so much! 100% support from me now on! 😘

Store is a little small but packed with just about everything you'd need from comics, to MTG and board games. About 4 to 5 tables in the back for playing. Staff was very accommodating and helpful with any questions I had. Prices seemed very reasonable and have a good selection on TCG. Highly recommend for a quieter place to gather.

One of my favorite stops when I am in Denton. Great comic selection as you can imagine from the title, but also a huge shout out for their Magic The Gathering offerings.

If you’re looking for the hard to find stuff start here. Incredible backstock. These gentleman know their stuff and are super friendly to EVERYONE. Side note, if I own a store and your kids are grabbing $150 comics and playing with them like toys I’d be watching them too.

Would not recommend to anyone wanting to play magic. I’ve been in a few times to shop and once to an event. The staff is nice except for the owner who has a tendency to be hostile to the staff and even customers. Very uncomfortable and tense environment.

The worker was incredibly friendly (antithesizing the business name lol), and even though I didn't buy anything, he gave me this for free. thank you Grumpy's!! I also loved their selection of comics and graphic novels. Spotted some rarities (like Sunstone) and lots of big names and collectibles too.

I go for the MtG cards and boardgames. They have a good selection and nice sized play space. They also carry comics and have folks that are quite knowledgeable. They also support other games like Yugioh and Flesh and Blood. This is my shop of choice in Denton. I like the people and the atmosphere.
